I was beyond nervous. I was sitting in a window seat, staring out at the bustling city street, waiting for Lizzie to arrive. I really wish I could remember more about her. The only thing that truly stuck with me were those galaxy eyes. If they were her galaxy eyes.
I sighed, trying to calm myself down a bit before she saw me panicking. What if she didn't come? What if I had absolutely no recollection of her at all and the blond hair and galaxy eyes belonged to someone else I met last night?
I played with my fingers, twisting and pulling on each digit nervously. Breathe in, breathe out. Why was I so damn nervous over this? It was just coffee!
"Hey," a soft voice pulled me from my thoughts.
I looked up to meet the eyes of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. I felt my jaw go slack at the sight of her, and apparently my memory of galaxy eyes and blonde hair was accurate.
"H-hi," I stuttered, already embarrassing myself with just one word.
She smiled and sat down across from me. She had a beautiful sundress on, pink with flowers, and a large floppy hat. Other than the fact that I just met her the night before, she looked so familiar. Just something about her ...
"Did you order yet?"
I shook my head, sitting up straighter in my seat.
"No, I waited for you."
She smiled brightly, her blush almost completely concealed by her sun hat. God, she really was beautiful. I was damn near speechless.
"I'll go order our coffee. What would you like?"
"Um, a small; light and sweet."
I nodded and stood up, excited to get our orders and start talking. I had a good feeling about her. She seemed down to earth and kind and I would definitely break all my rules for a girl like her.
Coming back as quickly as possible to our table with our drinks, I placed hers down in front of her and sat with my own, sipping at it to calm my nerves.
"S'on me," I smiled, shrugging off her argumentative look she was giving me.
"It was supposed to be my treat." She pouted at me and I couldn't help but stare.
"You can treat me next time."
"Next time?" She teased and I fell right into her trap; blushing at my own anxiousness to see her again.
"I - well - yeah, I mean, if you wanna ... see me again."
She laughed and took a sip of her coffee, humming appreciatively at the taste.
"I do. And thank you. It's delicious."
I waved her off, smiling as she looked out the window briefly before returning her attention to me.
"So, what do you do, Y/N?"
"Hm? Oh I work two jobs; one as an office assistant and another as an English tutor. Pretty boring stuff."
I took another sip.
"What about you?"
She stared at me, a confused look on her face. My brow furrowed in concern, wondering what I had said wrong.
"Do you like movies?" She changed the subject.
"Not really, no. I don't really have much time to enjoy them anymore. Why? Do you work in movies?"
She nodded slowly.
"You could say that."
"Are you an actress? You do look familiar, after all." I chuckled awkwardly, unable to believe that I had just admitted that I didn't recognize her if she was, indeed, a famous Hollywood actress.
"I've ... yeah, I guess I am." Now it was her turn to blush, as if she was embarrassed of the fact that she was in movies. Wait ...
"You don't do," I leaned in a bit closer to her. "... porn, do you? If you do, I really don't have time for porn. Even less time than I do for regular movies." I laughed at the awkwardness of the question.
She choked on her drink, laughing at what I had said. Oh thank god she didn't take offense to it.
"What? No!" Her giggles were contagious and I couldn't help but join in on her laughter. "No, I do regular movies. Marvel movies."
Marvel. MARVEL?! I may not have watched movies or television, like ever, but I sure as hell knew Marvel Comics. I stared at her, still trying to place her face, but couldn't. All I could see in her eyes was a gentleness I wouldn't have expected from a celebrity.
"Are you an avenger?" I whispered, my eyes wide with excitement.
She nodded, pushing her sun hat up a bit so I could see her face a little clearer.
"I'm the Scarlet Witch. Elizabeth Olsen, nice to meet you, Y/N."
Olsen? Like ...
"Holy shit. You're not joking."
She shook her head and ran her finger along the top of her coffee cup.
"Nope. But, sometimes I wish I was."
I couldn't help but keep staring, absolutely mesmerized by her.
"It's nice to meet you," I finally stammered out, my face burning when her eyes met mine and she smiled.
"You're really adorable."
"Me? No. Not at all, no." I bit my lip, trying to gather all of my courage. "But you?" I did an exaggerated chefs kiss and she laughed.
"I really would like to see you again, Y/N."
I would've liked to have said I wasn't shocked, but I was absolutely blown away by the fact that someone like her could be interested in someone as plain and simple as me.
"I wanna see you again too, Elizabeth."
"Maybe dinner? Tonight at my place?"
I blinked at her and smiled before nodding enthusiastically. Oh my god, I was going on a second date with Elizabeth Olsen.
