Freya and Steve climb into the funnel cake truck that Darcy and Vision had stolen and get on the road once more. There's no where for Freya and Steve to sit, so they're forced to cling on to the front seats.
"So, I started filling him in on what happened, but you might be a better fit for that, Frey," Darcy says over her shoulder.
"Um, okay," Freya starts hesitantly. "Time for a life crash course. Uh, where to start...? Oh, right, JARVIS."
Freya fills Vision in as quickly as she can while trying not to overwhelm him. Once she's finished, Vision stares at the dash in front of him. Completely silent. Freya glances at Steve worriedly, hoping she didn't upset him.
"Sooo..." Vision finally says as he drags out the "o". "Wanda killed me?"
"Um, yes," Freya cringes. "But it's not that simple. You asked her to do it."
"Why would I have done that?" Vision questions in confusion.
"To save the universe," Steve answers.
"Well, half of it," Darcy adds.
"Did it work?" Vision asks.
"It did..." Freya begins hesitantly. "Until Thanos used the Time Stone to rewind time to not only kick my ass, but to also kill you himself."
"There are a few extra steps," Steve nods. "But to set up the context..."
"I came back and died again," Vision says defeatedly.
"And she had to watch," Freya frowns. Vision looks over at her, the sadness easily readable in his eyes.
"Oh, man, another red light?" Darcy groans.
"What the hell?" Steve mumbles.
"It's kinda overkill out in the sticks here, don't you think?" Darcy asks.
"Yes," Vision says suspiciously. Freya looks over at him just as he looks up at her. They lock eyes and she raises an eyebrow at him in question. He looks back at the stop light and narrows his eyes.
"Are you thinking this is Wanda?" Freya asks him.
"It's very possible," Vision sighs as the light turns green.
"Also, it never rains in Westview, right?" Darcy asks as she turns the windshield wipers on. "Whoa!" Darcy yells as she slams on the brakes. A crew of electricians suddenly appear out of nowhere and block the intersection with their truck. Darcy sits back in the driver's seat with a scoff of annoyance. "Yeah, great. Just take your time, fellas."
"So if I understand correctly, my original code dates back to an AI called JARVIS?" Vision asks.
"Yep," Freya nods. "I helped my dad create JARVIS."
"But my corporeal form," Vision continues. "Was born of Ultron's plan for global genocide?"
"Correct-o," Darcy answers.
"What am I now?" he asks.
"Honestly, I'm a STEM type of lady," Darcy shrugs. "So I thought she just flipped a switch on your head and brought you back to life. That was until Freya came up with her theory, which makes way more sense."
Vision looks over at Freya in anticipation of her answer. Freya pinches the bridge of her nose and sighs.
"What I think happened," Freya begins slowly. "Is that Hayward lied about Wanda taking your body. I never believed Wanda would do that to you. What I think she did is create a whole other you. One that is very much real, Vision," Freya reassures him.
