Who is Shadow moth

"Mayura!" Ladybug looked at the villain in front of her. It was indeed a trap, but it wasn't what she had in mind.

"Shadow moth is giving up on the peacock miraculous?" Chat mocked.

"What do you want Mayura?"

"Listen I don't know how much time-" She was interrupted by Chat.

"Blah blah blah, I don't care but you're going down." Chat charged at the villain. She dodged his attacks trying to make him understand what she was trying to say.

"Please, I'm not here to fight." But there was no use. Chat was too stubborn. He kept fighting and fighting.

"Chat stop." Ladybug cried out. "She might be onto something." Chat turned to face her.

"Yeah, she is trying to get our miraculous." He turned to Mayura again. But before he could attack, feast knocked him on the floor. It sat on Chat's stomach making him unable to stand.

"Now would you listen?" Said Mayura. "Ladybug, please. I'm not here to take your miraculous."

"Then why are you here?"

"I'm here because I've decided to help you take down Shadow moth." She knew they won't believe it that easily. But she was trying to change. Besides, she can't let Adrien know about his father's true self.

"Yeah right, like I believe that." Chat said. Feast growled.

"You say that you want to turn on Shadow moth?" It didn't make any sense to Ladybug. Why would Mayura do that? It was either she changed, or it's a trap.

"I know you don't believe me. But recently, Shadow moth had gone insane." She rubbed her arm unconsciously. "I figured out that all I did with him, was wrong. Forcing people to do our dirty work. It wasn't right."

"Listen to your brain Ladybug. She is trying to trick you." Chat said weakly as the pressure increased on his chest. He wondered how could a small creature such as Feast, could create that much pressure.

"How can I trust you after everything you have done?" Said Ladybug. She was so flustered by what was happening. Mayura looked sincere and honest but also, people don't change overnight.

"I will do everything you say to prove I'm trustworthy." Ladybug had her hand up to her chin. What could possibly prove she could trust the peacock lady. Her eyes drifted over to Chat, who was suffering at the moment.

"Well, for starters, release my partner." Mayura nodded and snapped her fingers. Feast got up off of Chat, who took a deep breath. Ladybug thought for a moment. Then an idea came to her. "Mayura, show us who is behind that mask of yours."

Mayura was shocked. The world was crumbling in front of her. She knew she couldn't do that, at least not now. And if she doesn't, they would never trust her. Also, she can't escape or outrun them. In the end, she was the one who was trapped, not the two heroes. She looked at them, how calm they were. They gave her a chance, a one she couldn't take.

"I..... Can't do that." Mayura said.

"Hah." Chat spoke. "See, we won't trust you."

"He has a point you know." Said Ladybug. "How could we trust you if you can't show us who you are." They were right though. They won't trust her until she proved she could be trusted. Mayura had an idea. She would tell them the one thing they had been wondering since Shadow moth wanted their miraculous. Why did he want the miraculous?

"I could tell you something instead." She shakily spoke. There would be no going back from this point, the point of when she told them what they needed to hear. "I know why Shadow moth wants the miraculous."
