As the sun rose to a new day, the people of Paris went to their work. As it hits 6 o'clock, a new face visited the city. Her driver made sure she saw the wonders of their city.

She visited the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, Pont des Arts and several more places including Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie.

"And here it is, the best bakery in all of Paris." The lady next to the driver said.

"Can we stop here, I want to try some of their pastries." The girl said.

"I am sorry but I think we would be late, we don't want to upset your parents." The girl looked at her feet sadly.

Finally reaching their destination, the girl got out of the car. She looked at the building in front of her. Le Grand Paris. A servant came out and picked her luggage. He welcomed her warmly. He then led her inside.

The girl was Chloe's half-sister, who lived in New York City her whole life.

The first one she would meet was her mother, Audrey Bourgeois.

"Oh, Zoe, what are you doing here?" The lady said calmly while reading a magazine.

"I just moved to Paris." Audrey lowered her glasses and looked at her. "I mean, the driver was ridiculous, utterly ridiculous." Audrey went back to reading her magazine. Zoe sighed. A moment later Chloe approached them.

"Zoe!" Chloe shouted in happiness. Audrey glared at her. "I mean, what an unpleasant surprise."

"Chloe, take your stepsister to her temporary room." Said Audrey before going back to reading her magazine.

Chloe felt sorry for her sister. Yes, she was nice then. But if she wants her mother to stay with her, she had to act cruelly.

As for Zoe, she was already acting the second she entered that place. She already got abandoned by everyone in New York. If she wants this family to accept her, she had to keep this act.

They stopped at a door. Chloe opened it revealing a luxurious room.

"This is your room," Chloe spoke. "If you want anything call daddy or a servant. They're only here to serve."

"Yes, Chloe." Chloe took a glance at the shoes Zoe was wearing. They looked nice. But she had to keep the act. Zoe noticed. "You like my shoes? I designed them myself." She asked.

"Eww, they are ugly and ridiculous, utterly ridiculous. I could give you even better." Zoe faked a smile.

"Thanks, Chloe." Chloe left. Zoe entered her room. She observed it. She went to the balcony. The city was truly beautiful. After some moments the mayor came.

"Good morning Zoe." He greeted.

"Good morning."

"How is your trip so far?"

"It has been........ great. "

"If you need anything just call me." He walked towards the room but before he exit, he said, "I signed you in a new school. You'll go with your sister tomorrow." Zoe smiled.

It was midday now. Zoe was bored. She had watched enough TV for the last couple of hours. She exited the hotel without telling anyone.

She was lost in the streets of Paris. The blonde girl looked in different directions trying to remember which way was to the bakery she saw earlier this morning. She then continued walking forward.

Zoe heard some noises behind her. She turned and saw what appeared to be an accident. Suddenly, Zoe felt herself being pushed to the ground. She felt dizzy and had a slight headache. Her vision was blurry. She looked up and saw a blue-haired girl babbling some incomprehensible words.
