Dream got up from his seat and took the phone off his desk that kept alarming him. He looked over to the screen and over it are the words, 'Final Project'.
It wasn't necessary to overreact in the morning but it happens to be one special occation. He managed to get ready in less than 3 minutes while stumbling across his bedroom.
He went down the stairs on a rapid pace like he was trying to break a record. Or break his legs. Luckily managing to break none of those as he went to the kitchen and see his mother and sister chatting and enjoying their morning breakfast.
"Hi mom, hey sis." Dream said while rushing in to grab their lunches. He eventually sat down to join the two.
Drista said, "Are you excited for what's going to happen later?"
"Later?" Dream gave her a questioning look.
"Yes honey, remember what I told you last week?"
Hmm, last week.. it felt like a month ago but dream tried his best to remember, to no avail. He had a lot of things in his mind as of the moment.
He gasped as he suddenly realized, "We're gonna get a cat!"
His mother smiled at him as Drista was laughing at his older brother for forgetting. He was as excited as he was nervous, and he remembers the month prior. He thought about his list that he made about what to do and not to do while taking care of their new furry friend when she arrives. He knew it was going to be his responsibility, but he was worried that he won't have anymore time to himself while playing.
He was nearly caught off guard when he heard the school bus from outside their home.
"Go on now, you'll be late. I'll come to pick you two up later after school okay?" His mom said while she was washing the dishes.
"Okay." Dream managed to say while running towards the door and waved at her goodbye.
He usually just wanted to get his school day over with to get back to his friend he was playing with a little late yesterday. It was sort of his way of escape. Although the escape felt like smooth glass, it was still worth more than what he gets to do everyday.
He wasn't complaining about the domestic life, not at all. But there was something exciting about the world on the other side of the screen, similar to this world but different at the same time. It felt like he was free to do anthing he wished. But alas, time always has it's constraints.
He went near the back of the bus and saw an open seat next to the window. He sat down and put his bag on his lap as he stares outside and enjoy the view before he gets to endure the view of the four corners of the walls and books. The good thing about that window seat was he gets to see the tall trees overhanging as they went under it.
That reminded him of his early life with a friend. He wore a white bandana on his head with a long black sleeves and a shirt with a fire logo on top of it. They went on a treehouse having fun on his house that time. They still do talk to each other, just not as often as they used to.
There are moments where he just wants to pause the time where he could just enjoy being himself.
Instead he had to hide what he actually feel.
High school am I right?
It's been an insane week for all of them.
Mondays were always a drag. Surprise quiz on almost every subject.
Tuesday wasn't any better. It was the time the projects they've been working out as a group should be submitted and when it was their turn the teacher said that their presentation was inacurate and misleading.
Wednesday was their school's sports event and they weren't able to attend because the whole class had to take their finals.
Thursday they were giving out further announcements for the film making competittion.
And finally, today. Friday... Good thing it's almost over anyways. Summer is about to start once again.
A perfect opportinity, to do what whatever he and his friends were planning. He just needed the right place, right time, right moment and
The right person... and he knew just the right one to turn to.
It was hard keeping up with all the things that had happened these past few days. Dream was almost dissapointed on himself for not remembering about one of the most awaited moment in his life so far.
On their way to school, he lists out what to name their future pet when they come and take her home to be a part of their family.

A Collateral
