Chapter 8 Lucky 24

"Just passing by and saw something falling from the sky. This is Nesby,"

"Nora here,"

"Say, you are from?"

"Oh, I am actually from Nova Planet and I am kind of escaping from my dad,"

"Ahh I see. You want to follow me home? I got a room for you to stay there for a short period of time,"

"Emm, I am not too sure about this though,"

"Nah don't worry about it, me and my old pal Fiona is fine with it,"

Then Nesby reached out her hand to Nora and she accepted it. Nora then stood up and took her bag from the rocket. She followed Nesby to her house.

Nora looked at the sign board which has the word "Lucky 24".

"Your house is Lucky 24?"

"Yea, decided to buy this house with Fiona after I have the same decision with you,"

"What is it, Nesby?"

"I also ran away from home because my eyes turn yellow if I am mad or sad,"

"Wow, that was so cool,"

"Yea, but back then they say I am a creature,"

Not long later, they reached to the doorstep and Nesby opened the door. "Welcome and enjoy your stay, Nora,"

Nora was astonished with the interior of the house. There is a big chandelier at the center of the hallway and a living room that changes into a fighting arena.

There is a orange haired girl in the kitchen preparing something. She heard Nesby is home and asked: "Nesby, is that you girl?"

"Yea. Also brought a new guest to the house,"

"Who is it?"

"Nora. She's from Nova Planet. Escape to Earth because of her father,"

"Wait WHAT?"

Fiona ran out from the kitchen immediately and saw Nora standing at the center. Fiona went to pinch Nora's cheeks and said: "You are so cute. I can't stop pinching your cheeks,"

Fiona kept pinching until she saw a star on Nora's cheek. "Your cheek has a star though,"

"Yea, it was there forever,"

Then, Nesby came out from her room and told Nora to have a break first while she wants to find Fiona to talk about something.

She pulled Fiona to the side and whispered to her: " So let me make this straight. Nora escaped home from her father and she came here to hide because she has no where to go,"

"Isn't her family is going to be worried for her?"

"She hasn't say anything about it yet. We will ask more about her a few days later,"

Meanwhile, the King was worried to hear Nora missing and he ordered 100 soldiers for a search for Nora. Nari was also asked to come and the King ordered her to contact Nora as soon as possible.

For the first time, Nari is feeling very scared with the King for some reason. Even so, she still followed the orders and went home.

After she reached home, she was hesitant to call Nora. She guessed that the only way to contact Nora is to go to Earth because they cannot contact each other in different planets.

While Nari was still thinking about it, someone is knocking the door. It was Lubert. He came to tell Nari the dark truth behind the King. "What are you here for dad?"

"I know this might be very sudden to you but it is time for me to tell you this. Your mother didn't die because of giving birth to you, but Nora's father put Lead into your mother's meal which caused her to have swollen cheeks and...."

Before Lubert is able to finish his sentence, Nari cannot hold back her tears to find out the truth of her passing. Lubert knew Nari was gonna cry on the scene and hugged her.

"Don't worry Nari, I won't let my daughter into danger,"

"Dad, I am so afraid of losing you. I don't want to lose you because of these dirty tricks,"

"I have already cut ties with him, no need to worry too much about me,"

"Do you think this is the reason why Nora escaped to Earth?" Nari asked while sobbing.

"If you found her, don't tell her about this until she is able to accept the truth,"

Nari nodded and continued to hug on to Lubert. Lubert then continued: "I will think of an idea to send you to Earth to escape this dangerous planet and reunite with Nora,"
