As expected, I'm a bit late for the office. Trevor is still not in his office. Trevor usually doesn't attend meetings without me so its a bit weird for me. And honestly speaking, I feel a bit left out.

I have nothing to do right now, so I go and get a cup of coffee for myself. As I'm about to peek again in Trevor's office, my phone starts ringing.

It quickly snags my attention and I go over to recieve the call.

"Hey. Its me, Roland. I hope its not a bad time."

"No no, its not. Tell me, is Ashton okay.?" I can't help asking the question.

"Yeah, he's fine. Doctor is yet to check up on him for the morning. Anyways, I just called to apologize to you again for how I behaved that night at the hospital. I shouldn't have said that. It was really rude coming from my part." His voice sounded sincere enough.

"Hey, don't sweat it. I know you were not in your right mind at the time, with your bestfriend in a surgery. I won't say it's alright, but I could come in terms with your mental state at that time."

"I really don't want us to be awkward around each other. I know you too went through a lot when you were in a similar accident. I shouldn't have said those things, given the fact that I was the one who saw you in that wrecked condition in the upside down car."

Okay now, this was getting too intense too fast.

"Hey, how about we catch up later. My boss is calling for me, I think. Gotta go. Bye." I had to lie, I couldn't hear him mention it again.

Trevor was still not in his office and I was getting super bored. So, I decided to call my mom to get my mind off things.

And let me tell you, it was a very good decision. She kept my mind off things for almost half-n-hour. She had so much to tell, so much news and gossip, I can never. It was still a mystery to me, from where she got all the gossip and how she could remember so much.

It was close to lunch time when Trevor arrived in my office, with two food packets.

"Hey babe. I missed you so much." He said putting the packets down and pulling me in for a kiss.

"Hey, I missed you too. Why were you gone so long.?"

"You remember Mr.Boyce.?" He asked sitting down on the chair in front of the desk, pulling me with him.

"Yeah, the one with the potbelly." I replied.

"Yeah, the same one. He always has so much to tell, he took a lot of our time in the meeting." He said, placing a kiss under my ear.

"Now, lets have lunch. I didn't have my breakfast, just coffee. I'm starving." He started opening up the packets.

We had our sliders and fries, and he gave me a detailed description about what went down in today's meeting. And I was actually glad I did not have to attend a three-hour long meeting with Mr.Boyce.

Since Friday night, I had this feeling that I should tell him all about Ashton. I mean I was not the one to keep secrets, and I was not really sure why I was keeping it from him. I decided to just let it play itself out.

Rest of our day in office was as mundane as any.

As I walked through the front door of my apartment, Liv was nowhere to be seen. I called out her name a couple of times, but she was not home.

I decided to just call her up and ask her. She picked up after a few rings.

"Hey, where are you.?"

"Hey, I'm sorry babe. I'm running a bit late. I ran into a friend of mine from high school. I'll be there in about an hour." She explained.

"Okay, don't worry. Take your time. I'll see you later. Enjoy." I replied.
