Since it was technically not a working day for me, I decided to dress casually. I put on some white jeans, baby pink crop top and a white light jacket. My face was scrubbed free of makeup with just some lip gloss and my hair in a high ponytail. With my flats and my sunglasses, I was all ready to go.

I parked my black BMW in the parking lot of the venue.

"Being as punctual as you are, I expected better from you Mia." Trevor said as soon as I entered the ball room.

"Hello to you too sunshine. Its just half past eleven," I said, sweetly smiling at him and commenting about his yellow button down.

"Now come on, we have work to do." And with that, we started working.

Checking guest list, seating arrangements, being updated with the bakery and caterers and managing so many staff all by ourselves was too much to do.

Adam, our event manager, was jumping and hopping all around the place handing out instructions. He had this endless reserve of energy and was constantly drawing from it. He was the most enthusiastic person I have ever met.

"Oh god, I'm so exhausted and hungry. I need carbs right now." I slumped on a chair beside Trevor.

"Me too. So I ordered pizza for everyone. We all can have lunch break and start again by three." Trevor said.

"Oh, thank you so much. You are the best. I was just going to ask you to do it." I said and Trevor smiled at me.

"Oh and one more thing. Can I leave by five maybe. Mom and dad are coming today. I would like to spend some time with them. And oh, I also have to go dress shopping." I asked him.

"Sure you can go. I think we will be finished by then anyway." He said.

"Okay. And by the way, who is Nora? Your girlfriend?" I asked him with my brows raised and a grin on my face.

"Now, where did you come across that name?" He asked me, faking shock.

"I asked first."

"Okay. She is my cousin from Los Angeles not my girlfriend. After my sister, she is second most closest to me." He answered with a smile.

"Oh, okay. And I saw her name on the guest list and she was right beside you in the seating arrangement. So, I was just curious." I said, obviously embarrassed.

"Oh, no need to explain." He said as soon as the delivery guy arrived.

After having our pizza and much needed rest, we were back to work. By around half past four, almost everything was done.

"Finally done." I let out a big dramatic sigh.

"Yup. Everything's done. Adam will be here tomorrow early to receive cake and the caterers, before guests arrive." Trevor told me.

"Good. I can finally go shopping." I was smiling like a little girl.

"Yes you can. Now lets get out of here. I just need to have a word with the manager of the place." He said and disappeared inside a door.

I took that time to go to the bathroom to freshen up. By the time I was out, Trevor was waiting for me at the gate.

"Shall we?" I asked.

"After you." He smiled. Always a gentleman.

We walked together towards our respective cars in silence.

"So, uh... I'll see you tomorrow then." He said. Was that nervousness I heard in his voice.

"Yeah, see you then. Bye." I replied turning to go to my car.
