Barbie
"Dr. Shepherd! Hold the elevator please!"
Now that was the voice of the perky blonde who would not stop following his every step throughout the large building of Seattle Grace. Overall you would see her as a sweet, helpful person. A perons who thought rainbow and butterflies were the thoughts of little girls and Superman and Batman were real super heros in some fucked up demension. She was the total opposite of him. And in this case, opposites do not attract.
He wanted her to miss the elevator. He wanted a peaceful morning which was very rare in his life of a surgeon. He wasnted so, very badly. But there was a fine line between being a decent man and being a monster. He was no gentleman but he was a man.
He put his foot out preventing the elevator to close as the blonde dashed in, her perfect smile beaming at him.
He could not think of a better term for her, Barbie. And people thought that was rude.

Speak
Derek moved to the other end of the spacious elevators constructed to fit a maximum of two hospital beds. Pulling out his side kick he started clicking the miniscule buttons on the device ready to find out what he had planned that day. Feeling a presence quite close to his own he looked up and stood face with the Dr. Barbie. He now had to face another one of her morning hellos.
"Good morning Dr. Shepherd. Anything intresting going on today?" he head bobbed to the side trying to get a view of the screen he held in his large hands.
Hiding it in his lab coat pocket he straightened his posture and moved to the opposite side of the elevator clearly showing her the visual explaination of personal space.
"Nothing speacial Dr. Stevens. Just the normal." he said gruffyly, no feeling in his voice.
"Well, Dr. Bailey has me on scut. If you do have anything speacial for the day, you can page me. I would be happy to help with anything." she said with a sweet smile. Odd that her words meant anything but sweetness.
"Thank you Dr. Stevens but that won't be necesarry. I'm sure the pit will be full. Very full by now. Shouldn't you go now."
The elevator opened right on time on the seventh floor. His stop. Without a goodbye he walked off the lift not bothering to look back.

Gossip
It is a fact that Seattle Grace has the far most amount of gossip than any other hospital in the state. The cause may be the slutty interns or the infected nurses. Maybe becasue of the highly attractive doctors and the whore statring unifroms the candy strippers parade in nearly giving elder patients heart attacks.
Many abide by this saying. Gosssip is fun. Gossip is good. Not everybody does it, but everyone should.
Now there is a time and place for the most talk is found. The outside lunch room. Second floor. Nurses on one side, doctors one the other. And the poor souls who have nt mastered the pre stages of high school seating plans sit in the middle causing the big stop sign between the to networks.
Gossip is the second most job done in the hospital, before saving lives of course.
"I got banged today." Cristina mummbled taking a seat in her usual spot. An apple in her hand while a turkey sandwich was latched in the other.
"Yang got banged. Nice." chuckled the infamous Alex Karev. Hot rods in his lab coat and a coke in his hand. He was not known to be one of the healthy ones.
