AFTER THOR AND his friends were taken care of, Loki knew Syn was on her way back to Asgard by now. He decided to continue his plan, even though he was worried something would go wrong, but also hoped everything would go as planned.

Trying to intimidate Heimdall led him to commit treason. His plan to stall Thor ended up giving him his powers back and keeping Sif and the Warriors Three out of trouble was a complete disaster. So, Loki wanted to get this plan, the fake alliance he had with the Jotuns, done and over with before anything else can backfire.

He had been lying everything together this entire time, even before he had been crowned King of Asgard, but knew that whenever it would backfire on him, it wouldn't only be his downfall, it would be Syn's as well. He had dragged her into his plans as she supported him from the begin to the end, but he didn't know what he would do if anything happened to her. She was the only person he cared more about than himself.

Only, now that Heimdall had burst free from the ice and had taken out the Jotun guards in a few quick strokes. Thor's final roadblock to get home was out of the way, and all of Loki and Syn's attempts to buy time had failed. Heimdall rushed to open the Bifrost at Thor's call, and the exiled prince came home.

Loki sneaked Laufey into Odin's chambers with a couple quick illusions to distract the guards, and gave him a few moments to gloat. ''It's said you can still hear and see what transpires around you.'' The Jotun King said as he stood over Odin's body, creating a piece of ice in his hand and held it up in the air, ready to plunge it through the Allfather's heart. ''I hope it's true, so that you may know your death came at the hand of Laufey.''

However, Laufey was blasted off of Odin by Loki, falling to the ground with a hard thump. He looked up at the young god with betrayal in his eyes, but what would you have expected from the god of mischief and lies? He held Gungnir in his hand while wearing a determined expression as he said, ''And your death came by the son of Odin.''

Laufey gasped for air as Loki blasted Gungnir at him once more before he turned into dust. Finally something about his plan went right and he had done it. He had killed the King of the nation with which they were at war and saved his father's life from an assassination attempt. He had proven he was a worthy King, not only for himself, but for the whole kingdom.

''Loki!'' Frigga gasped out as she rushed to his side, she couldn't be more proud of her son as he had just saved Odin's life. ''You saved him.'' She moved her arms around his neck as she hugged him tightly, glad to see that both him and Odin were doing alright now. It was over, or was it?
