Chapter 1

My name is Kaibella Blackwood, today is my 18th birthday. I am so excited I also find out who my mate will be. Yes I said mate, I am a werewolf. I quickly take a shower and get dress. I run down stairs to the kitchen where mom, Selena Blackwood is cooking my favorite breakfast banana waffles. "Hey hunny, happy birthday sweety." "Thanks mom". My mom hands me a envelope with a bow on it. I look up and ask what it is. She tells me to open it. I open the envelope and it's a plane ticket. I look at my mom with a frown on my face. " What is this, why am I going to America?" my mom starts crying and I get up and walk over to her. My mom looks up and tells me to sit down.

"When I turned 18 I was so happy just like you are about finding my mate. I got up walked around the pack he wasnt at the pack house. So I went to school.. nope I looked every where I couldn't find my mate any where. After school I told my mom I was going to go to the lake and go swimming. When I was swimming this guy came out of no where. I knew he was my mate I was so excited, he was so handsome I knew I was in love. We made love right there, no words where spoken. Afterwards he told me his name Drake Blane Stoneblood he was the alpha of the most dangerous, pack in the world. I couldn't believe it. My mate was a killer, his pack killed several smaller packs to expand his territory. My father the alpha of Blackwood pack told me he has been threatening our pack to get our territory. I got up and ran.... ran until I fell into my fathers arms.... I cried for 3 days.

Finally I told my dad what happened. God was he mad. He ordered me to never see him again. Three months later Drake showed up and attacked my pack. He killed so many people, stupid me I was hiding if only I had gone out there and just went with him nobody would have been hurt. My father fought him until Drake had him by the throat that is when I came out of hiding and begged Drake not to kill my father. Drake let my father go when he noticed my swollen belly. He turned back to human form, looked at me mind linked his pack and everything stopped. He said I'll be back for you, and ran. My father lived for two days."

"Mom, you told me your mate died in a rogue attack, before I was born. Why would you lie to me?? I still don't understand why do I have to go?" My mom was quiet, she didn't say anything for a good ten minutes. " Your father is dead, he died last week" "Is that why you where in your room crying and in pain?" My mom looked up at me with a weak smile and nods her head. "Yes, I felt him get killed". So I asked again "why do I have to go?" " My mom says "because you are the rightful alpha to the Stoneblood pack." I ran out of the house I can't deal with this right now. I hear my mom yelling my name but I don't stop I run right to my "thinking place" yea that's right, right where my mom and father met....The lake.
