headcanons ~ sherlock asking you out

AlyksBlossom requested: Can we get one of him asking us out Then of us dating. Teen!lock of course. That would be cute

Soooo.... I decided to make this request a two-parter!! This one's Sherlock asking you out, part 2 (coming soon) will be you dating

also i just found out from Tumblr that these are apparently headcanons so yayyy atleast they have a name 🥳

Sherlock asking you out would involve:

- he's calculated, or at least daydreamed, of every possible way it would go

- he's fantasised about him asking you out on valentine's day, for the school dance, the last day of school, just a day where the whole class decides to go out together

- he also imagines the outcomes

- probably thinks for hours before concluding that he's "wasting his time" and trying to focus on something else

- everytime he sees a happy couple in class he imagines the happiness you both could have, if you say yes, and that's only if he steps up and decides to ask you

- gets super nervous and worried right before

- sweaty palms, shaky knees, the whole package

- you're the only one who makes him a nervous wreck and that scares him

- probably constantly worried that at one point of time somebody will notice his overconfident, cool demeanour in front of everyone else is the stark opposite of his soft, cautious and terrified nature in front of you

- at one point he decides to ignore you completely so that nobody else sees how different he acts around you

- he's definitely asked Mycroft for advice and gotten nothing but a steely stare from him

- he'd definitely ask you out by accident

- maybe you and your friends are planning to go to the mall, when he quickly blurts out that there's a good movie (he knows the ones you're a fan of and has been imagining taking you out to them for a while)

- but all your friends come along too :/

- he gets super frustrated about it but his face is just 🥰 the whole time poor boy

- next time he sees you, he just decides to ask you to the small cafe near your school where all the lovebirds went

- you agreed, you've had quite the crush on him and it's only increased since the movie night

- you two frequent the little café a lot, sometimes even every evening after school and not long later, he asks you if you want to be together

- you agree without a seconds thought

- sherlock would be sweating and shaking at that point but you'd just hold his shivering hands and smile when you say yes

- and when you do, there's this sudden rush of tranquility through him, because he never thought you and him would actually get this far, apart from in his imagination

"Uhhh... Yes? What yes- What do you mean-"
"Yes, you can be my 'boyfriend or whatever', sherlock, as you just put it right now."
"Wait, I really said that?!"
"Mm-hmm."
"Uh... Out loud?!"

- yup, he'd 100% ask you out accidentally

- slip of the tongue because he's too tired and so he's super embarassed but so ecstatic that you said yes
