When love leads to betrayal...

Damage Control

Serkan curled up in the fetal position, sobbing uncontrollably on her porch was the last thing Ayfer expected to see when she looked out her window, but it was true. And if she was honest with herself, she felt happy that he was feeling a bit of the pain that Eda had been dealing with for so long but on the other hand she kind of felt sorry for him. She just watched him sob and scream for Eda to forgive him and that he was sorry and that he loved her.

It was at this time that Melo was walking up the steps that she heard Serkan's distress and pleas for Eda. Her heart was already broken when Serkan went missing, she loved him dearly just like an eniste. When he walked back into ArtLife, she was so happy for Eda, who never gave up or doubted that he would return. But the Serkan that came back was not the same as her eniste. He was cruel and looked like he wanted to hurt Eda, her eniste would never want to hurt Eda. She watched as Eda was destroyed more and more every day but kept coming back in the hopes that his memory would return and he would realize that he loved her. But that day never came. Melo was sad when Eda told them she was leaving, but she knew that Eda had to do it. Life had not been fair to Eda and Serkan that's for sure, they desperately loved one another but life kept throwing things at them to test that love and in the end being forgotten was Eda's last straw, so she left to start again.

Melo silently watched Serkan's body convulse with sobs and his desperate cries for Eda to forgive him. She could hardly stand to see Serkan this way, broken. She approached him laying a hand on his back and asked him if he was alright and what was going on. Serkan sat up and looked at Melo with tear filled eyes and said "my life is over Melo, I ruined the best thing to ever happen to me and now she's gone, I made her leave with my cruelty. I just want to die and what better place than right at Eda's doorstep so I can be close to where she last was. I can't believe this is how our story turned out. I love her Melo with everything in me, why did I forget her? Why did I listen to Selin? What have I done to my fairy, Melo?

Melo questioned Serkan about his memories and he told her he remembered everything. He told her he sent Selin away for good this time and told her to never contact any of them again for any reason. He asked Melo what he was supposed to do know, work which was what he once lived for was not important without Eda there next to him. He didn't care if he lost it all, he just wanted her. Melo began to cry as she looked at Serkan she held his hand and told him she was sorry that he was hurting. She was happy that he recovered his memories and realized that Eda was his soulmate and not his enemy. She told him that if he had listened to anyone other than Selin he would have known it, but he chose to be a jerk and to hurt Eda over and over again. Melo explained that she loved him as her eniste from the very first moment she saw him with Eda, fake or not she knew there was love there.

She told him that she had seen him hurt her Dada over and over again and Eda never waivering in her love and devotion to him. She asked him why he didn't or wouldn't listen to anyone other than Selin. She told him she didn't understand his reasoning when everyone else in his life was telling him one thing and only Selin was telling him another. She told him Eda expressed to her that if it was that easy for him to forget and not want to remember then maybe it was never real for him.

Serkan was speechless thinking Eda felt that way. He tried to explain to Melo that he remembered a cold, workaholic man who cared about very few people, his mother, Sirius, and the few people he considered friends and unfortunately Selin was one of those and she took full advantage of that fact. He explained that he never gave Selin a second thought really once Eda arrived in his life but that he can now see how his relationship and history with Selin caused him to overlook her misdeeds. He professed his undying love and devotion for Eda and only her. He confessed that he knew he didn't deserve Eda after all he did and said since his return and even before then but he truly loved her and would devote the rest of his life to gaining her forgiveness, because NOTHING else mattered to him. He vowed to put her and keep her first and foremost in his heart and to never make her feel pain or doubt about his love again.

Serkan sobbed as he held Melo's hands and pleaded with her to let him see Eda or at least talk to her. He wanted Eda to know that he loved her and always had he just lost his mind for a bit and became terrified of the feelings that he was supposed to feel and that immediately bombarded him the second he laid eyes on her. He said that he wanted to apologize to her and beg for her to give him the chance to earn her forgiveness. He explained that he wanted her to know that she was his star, his heart, his soul, his every breath and his life. He begged for her to call her and let him talk to her.
Melo was silently crying and looked up to see Ayfer standing at the slightly opened door with tears in her eyes as well, having just witnessed Serkan's heartwrenching confession. Melo looked at Ayfer questionably as if asking, " what do I do?" Ayfer looked at Melo and silently they came to a decision, one that would dramatically change the life of someone close to them.

But which one????
