Chapter 1: The New Student

Kang Y/N's POV

I woke up with a heavy head and tried to remember what had happened last night. Everything was vague. I only remember drinking alcohol with my friends and dancing but I still don't know how the hell did I end up sleeping inside my room.

"Good morning Miss, your breakfast is ready," our maid said that made me snapped back to reality.

"What happened last night?" I asked her but she just shrugged her shoulders.

I let out a loud sigh before I went inside my bathroom to do my morning routine.

"Good morning dear," my stepmom said as I went down the stairs to go to the kitchen.

"The guards said you went home drunk last night and a guy which they don't know brought you home."

A guy? But who? I can't remember talking to some random dude last night.

"Are you sure the guy isn't Sunoo? My boy bestfriend? Because he's the only guy friend we were with last night," I asked.

"Oh C'mon Y/N, the guards already know Sunoo, he's always hanging out with you," she answered.

Now I'm puzzled. I'm pretty sure I went to my friend, Lea's house last night for her birthday party and she only invited her relatives and some of her close friends including me and Sunoo. But our guards know all of our friends.

"Good thing that guy did not do anything bad to you," she added.

I just nodded and ate my breakfast. After that I went back to my room to prepare for my classes.

I have classes today, however, I'm already too late if I still attend my morning subjects which is why I will just attend my afternoon classes.

"Y/N you will never believe me," Lea said while we were walking to go to our classroom.

"Why? What is it?" I asked.

"Sunoo said we have a new transfer student from Belift University," she answered.

"What? A transfer student? But our school year is about to end in two months."

Why would someone bother to transfer schools, we will literally graduate Senior High School in two months? Well, it's his or her life.

I looked around as soon as we arrived in our classroom and I immediately noticed a new face or should I say, new handsome fa--

Dang it! I freaking tripped. This is so embarrassing!

"Y/N ARE YOU OKAY?!" Sunoo asked and hurriedly helped me stand up.

"Yeah I'm fine. Thanks Sunoo best boy," I smiled at him.

I turned to the transfer student's direction and saw him staring at me but suddenly looked away.

Weird.

"Good afternoon class," our teacher, Miss Jennie said that made us sit down.

Our afternoon classes just ended and I immediately picked my backpack and went to Sunoo's desk.

"Hey, wanna grab ice cream?" I asked.

"LET ME JOIN!" Lea shouted that made all our classmates look at her.

"We're going on a date, you can't join," Sunoo teased her.

"Fine. You guys enjoy ha? I'll just go home alone," Lea pouted.

"He's just joking Lea, of course you can join," I said and she smiled.

"Uhhh Sunoo, I'm sorry to interrupt but you promised this morning that you'll tour me around the campus when classes end," the transfer student said.

"Oh right! I totally forgot," Sunoo turned to my direction, "I'm sorry Y/N, I can't join you guys. I'll just treat both of you hamburgers tomorrow," he said and went outside our classroom with the transfer student.

"He didn't even introduced that student to us. What a shame," Lea muttered.

"Hey Alex! What's the name of the new student?" Lea asked one of our classmates as we go out of the classroom.

"Yang Jungwon," Alex answered.

I'm not gonna lie though, but that Jungwon guy is really handsome. He looks like a Prince and his dimples made him more attractive.

We went to a convenience store to buy ice cream as soon as we got out of our school.

I ordered mint choco flavored while Lea bought chocolate favored ice cream.

We bid our goodbyes as soon as we finished eating our ice cream.

"Hon I don't know okay? I was watering our plants when I saw Anne. Hon, I think they are our new neighbors,"

I peeked inside our house and saw my stepmom Marie talking to my dad. I think they're arguing.

"I'm home," I muttered.

They looked at me and I saw dad nodded.

"Y/N let's talk," my dad said with a low voice which made me shiver in fear. I know this is something serious.

I sat down and waited for them to speak.

"Your birthmom is here," My stepmom Marie started.
