Chapter 8: He's Also Broken

Kang Y/N's POV

I woke up from my deep sleep when I felt the sunlight hitting my face. I turned around and saw my mom Marie sleeping beside me.

After our talk last night, she asked if she could sleep beside me which I gladly agreed.

After I finished my morning routine, I went outside my room to go to the kitchen.

I saw my dad sipping coffee in the living room.

"Good morning, the papers are all ready. You'll leave tomorrow. For the mean time, you'll stay in Japan, after I'm done with all my works here, we'll move together to Canada," my dad said.

I nodded and opened the refrigerator and took some milk. After I drank all of it, I went back to my room to change into my jogging attire.

I just want to go out for a quick jog to refresh my mind.

When I got outside our house, I saw Jungwon's car still parked outside our gate. I looked inside his car and found him sleeping. He looks like a zombie with his messy hair and dark circles under his eyes.

I knocked on the window of his car to wake him up. When he did, he opened his car and went outside to face me.

"Y/N," he said while looking at my eyes.

I can now clearly see his face. His eyes are full of emotions that I can't read. He then started to get teary-eyed.

"Y-you should get some sleep inside your house, you badly need it," I said as I look away from him.

I don't want to cry again. Seeing him like this, hurts me too.

"Please don't leave me behind," he said that made me look at him again.

"Come on, I'll accompany you to go inside your house," I said without even thinking.

He looked at me with disbelief until he held my hand as we walk to go inside their house.

"Oppa!" Yewon shouted as soon as he opened their front door and was about to say something again but stopped when she saw me.

Jungwon continued to drag me until we reached his room. He then, let go of my hand and went straight to his bed.

He tapped the space beside him and signalled me to lay beside him.

I didn't even think twice as I went beside him and hugged him.

I know, it's a bit weird and everything. We were just fighting last night about all that had happened in the past and it still hurts me just by the thought of him.

But if today is the last time I'll ever see him again, then I would rather lay  beside him and hug him as he sleep.

"Y/N, please don't leave me. I was broken before I met you. You fixed this," he pointed his chest where his heart is located. "And if I'll ever lose you, then I'll be shattered once again and will continue to break and break," he said and started to cry again.

"Shhh Jungwon, sleep for now," I told him and closed his eyes.

I tapped his shoulders gently as he fell asleep.

When I noticed that he's already sleeping soundly, I gently removed his hand around me and went outside his room quietly.

I'm sorry Jungwon, it's for the best.

I was about to go outside their house when Yewon stopped me.

"Unnie is it okay if we talk?" she asked.

I looked at her before nodding my head. We went inside their kitchen and she gave me a juice before sitting across my seat.

"Unnie, I'm sorry," she started.
