Kang Y/N's POV

I looked outside my window and it's still raining. I heard in the news earlier that there's a storm hitting both Korea and Japan. I think its possible that my flight would be cancelled.

I heard a knock on my door so I opened it up and saw my Mom Marie.

"Y/N your dad said that the airline called and your flight is cancelled," she said.

I nodded and closed the door.

I looked oce again outside my window but this time, I looked at Jungwon's window.

It's still closed.

The thought of my birthmom's answer came back flashing through my head.

<<<Flashback<<<

"I'm going to ask you again, why are you only showing your face right now, when you already wasted 15 years?" I asked one more time.

Yewon looked at her mother and nodded. Signalling her that it's okay to tell me the truth.

"Y/N believe me, I tried coming back to meet you before but when I had the courage, I saw you happily living with your father and your stepmother. I don't want to ruin everything again so I thought it'd be best to stay away from you and your dad," she said.

"What about Jungwon? You took him away from his mom," I asked again.

"It wasn't my decision to take him Y/N, it was his dad. My husband wanted to raise him. I never once wanted to take him away from his mom," she answered.

<<<End of flashback<<<

I noticed that Jungwon's window opened so I walked closer to my window to see him.

But I was disappointed when I saw Yewon opening it up.

She saw me and as if she already knew I am looking for Jungwon so she signalled me that he isn't home.

I wonder where he is right now.

Ever since I left their house yesterday, I didn't see him anymore. I think he already know I'm leaving.

I went outside my room, took and umbrella and was about to go to the park. Hoping he's there and talk to him.

I opened my umbrella and started to walk despite the heavy rain and strong winds.

When I reached there, I saw someone sitting at a bench. I immediately ran to his direction when I confirmed it was Jungwon.

"YAH! YANG JUNGWON! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?! IT'S RAINING CATS AND DOGS OUT HERE AND YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO JUST SIT HERE WHILE BEING SOAKED IN THE RAIN?!" I yelled at him.

He looked at me with cold eyes.

"If it weren't for this storm, I know you're already at the airport boarding a plane," he said ang looked away.

I turned off my umbrella and sat beside him.

"You know what, I'm actually happy that there's a storm. So that I'll have more time to think about my feelings for you," I said but he's still looking away.

My heart ached and tears started to stream down my face like rain.

"I love you too Jungwon," I said that made him look at me with a shocked face.

"You what?" he asked as if he didn't understand what I said.

"I said, I love you Yang Jungwon,"

He immediately hugged me tight and I did the same.

Our life may not be the same as rainbows and butterflies because of what happened in the past. It may have scarred us but I know for a fact that everything happened so that I could truly choose the person that I love.

I love Yang Jungwon.

And I want to choose my happiness and my happiness is him. I choose him.

Here we are still hugging each other under the pouring rain.

Forgiving my birthmom and everyone else who were part of my sad past may take time to heal but I know I will never be alone because Jungwon is here.
