Chapter 5: His Point Of View

Yang Jungwon's POV

Last night was fun. I had a great time talking and walking with Y/N.

"How's Y/N? Are you already close with her?" My stepmom asked Yewon.

We all looked at her.

Y/N is my stepmom's daughter and ever since we moved here, all words that came out of her mouth is about her daughter that she left behind.

"Mom why don't you just go there and talk to her? I don't talk to her anymore," my sister answered. "If you want to know how is she doing, ask Jungwon Oppa, they're classmates," she added.

I picked up my plate and put it in the sink.

I never talk to my stepmom. I can't even show my face to my real mom even though we're now neighbors.

I hate that she even took me away from my real mom. I hate everything that she does. I took my bag, went inside my car and drove away.

I parked my car as soon as I arrived our school.

While walking to go to our classroom, Yewon's smiling face flashed in my head.

At first, I always think and treat Yewon as a mistake. I hated her. She is the reason why our family is all messed up. But in the end, I realized, she's still my sister and I will always protect her from anyone.

I'm afraid that as I get closer to Y/N, she'll soon find out about the truth. But what can I do? I'm already falling for her. I don't want to avoid her, she makes me happy.

"Y/N, what happened to you? You look like a zombie," Lea is talking to Y/N when I arrived our classroom.

I sat down quietly to not disturb their conversation. We're the only ones inside the classroom. They didn't even noticed my arrival because I used the back door.

"I don't know Lea, I think I like Jungwon," Y/N said.

My eyes widened.

Everything was so sudden, I never thought I'd hear something that I shouldn't.

My phone accidentally fell which caused them to look at me.

"I'm sorry," I said. "I'll just go outside," I added. I took my phone and went out.

Stupid phone!

"Wait Jungwon!" Y/N shouted which made me stopped walking.

I turned around and saw her blushing face.

Cute.

She seems like she doesn't know what to say because of feeling embarrassed.

"Look Y/N, I'm sorry if I accidentally heard what you said. I know that we just met and I still don't know much about you but I know for a fact that I also like you. Is it okay if we date first? Like the getting to know each other stage first and if we still like each other after that, I want to make it official that we're together," I finally blurted out.

She looked at me like it was a great idea then smiled.

"Sure, I'd love that," she said.

We both went back to our classroom and sat on our chairs quietly.

I saw Sunoo glaring at me but looked away when I noticed him.

Finally its already lunch time. I picked my bag and was about to go to the cafeteria.

"OH MY GOD, I'M SORRY Y/N I CAN'T JOIN YOU TO EAT LUNCH, MY STOMACH HURTS!" I heard Lea shouted.

I'm not dumb, I know she's acting so that I could ask Y/N to eat lunch with me.

"Don't worry Y/N, I'm here," Sunoo said but Lea dragged him.

"No! You're coming with me," she said and continued dragging Sunoo to go to the clinic.

I went to Y/N to ask her if she could join me instead which she gladly accepted.

Was it a good idea?

My brain told me to stay away  from Y/N, but I'm following my heart.

I like Y/N.

I don't care about what happened in the past anymore. All I want now is to be happy with her.
