"I miss you, love. Date night later?"
So ganon na lang iyon? He'll be acting as if nothing happened? Eh kung hambalusin ko kaya siya? God! I just want to punch his face so bad.
I was about to type my reply when he suddenly called. I was thinking of dropping the call when Zane grabbed my phone and answered it for me. Ugh! Bakit ba napaka-desisyon ng lalaking 'to?
"Hello? Bakit mo tinatawagan ang girlfriend ko? Gusto mo bangasan kita? Ano? Baka 'di mo kilala ang binabangga mo? Anak ata ng Mafia Boss 'to!" I immediately grabbed my phone away from Zane. What the hell is he talking about? Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin and the bastard just grinned at me. Tsk. Siraulo talaga.
I pressed the end call buton because I am still not ready to talk to Ely. Hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin ko o kung paano ko siya kakausapin ulit. I am just... lost for words.
Zane pushed my forehead which broke my brief reverie. I hit him in the head when I remembered what he said to Ely.
"Eto naman si Madam! Galit na galit!" Nakangiwi niyang sabi habang hawak ang ulo niya.
"You're so pakialamero kasi. What if naniwala siya na boyfriend nga kita? Yuck! I can't even imagine!"
"Grabe ka naman. 'Di tayo talo 'no. Yucks!" He's massaging the part where I hit him.
"As if naman papatulan kita!"
"Eto naman 'di mabiro. Lagi ka na lang galit sa'kin. Pinaglihi ka ba sa sama ng loob?"
This man is really testing my patience. Konti na lang sasabunutan ko na 'to. Whenever I'm with him, I always think of violence. Baka mauna pa akong maging kriminal bago maging abogado dahil sa lalaking 'to.
"If you don't shut your mouth right now, sinasabi ko sa'yo di talaga kita tutulungan." I threatened him which seemed to work 'cause he acted like he's zipping his mouth. Good dog.
And just when I thought I'll have my peace back, nagsalita na naman ang katabi ko.
"Nag-away ba kayo ni Ely?" Napaka-tsismoso talaga. I had no choice but to tell him what happened between me and his friend dahil alam ko naman na hindi niya ako titigilan. He looks amused while listening to my story.
"Hay ang pogi ko talaga. Sorry ako lang 'to. Pinagselosan pa nga hahahaha! Huwag kang mag-alala bestie. Ipaghihiganti kita sa siraulong 'yon. Ako ang bahala sa'yo." I just ignored what he said dahil alam kong puro kalokohan na naman ang laman ng isip niya.
We talked about random stuff and that's when I found out that he's also planning to enter law school after he receives his Bachelor's Degree. Like me, he's also eyeing UP College of Law which somehow made me feel relieved dahil may kakilala na ako kahit hindi ko pa naman sigurado kung makakapasa ako sa UPLAE.
I sighed. I'm very close to reaching my dreams. I'm just waiting for my graduation and then I'll take the CPALE and I'm off to law school. I got everything planned and all I have to do is make sure that everything will fall into place.
"Hoy tulala ka na naman!" This man is so epal talaga!
"Ano ba?!" I hissed.
"Ano ba?! " this freak is copying me. "Hoy! May nagtext sa'yo."
I checked my phone and it was Ely, again.
"Alam mo ba? When I look at my keyboard, I see U and I together."
"Hoy! Ba't ka namumula? May sakit ka ba?" Still looking at my screen, I didn't realize I was blushing until Zane talked to me. But being the tsismoso that he is, he then looked at my phone and laughed at what he just read.
"Baduy ampucha! 'Di ka lang pala pinaglihi sa sama ng loob, sa basang kahoy rin. Rupok mo naman bestie. Parang sira naman 'to akin na nga 'yan at ako na ang magrereply." Napaka-desisyon talaga ng lalaking 'to. I was about to get my phone again but I was too late because he already hit the send button.
"So is J and K." Well... he's got a point naman.
I waited for a while but he did not reply anymore. Maybe he was thinking that I was angry at him. Well, I am not angry. I'm just pissed. Or, I don't know. Naguguluhan na rin ako.
"May isang naghihintay ng reply. Hindi ko sinasabing si Adi 'yon pero parang ganon na nga."
"May isang masasapak 'pag hindi siya tumigil. Hindi ko sinasabing Zane and pangalan niya pero parang ganon na nga."
"Alam mo, tara na nga. Ihahatid na kita. Baka 'di na ako makauwi nang buhay dahil sa'yo eh." He got up and played with his car key.
"Buti alam mo." I also got up, fixed my things then followed him towards his car. Sinundo niya ako kanina sa condo kaya dapat lang na ihatid niya ako pabalik.
He parked the car first then sinamahan niya ako umakyat sa unit. He told me he wanted to rest there kasi napagod daw siya magdrive. Ha! Napagod my ass. I know what he's up to.
He was telling me stupid jokes on our way to the unit and I would just casually laugh. I am starting to feel comfortable whenever I'm with him. Well, not in a romantic way naman. He's kind and funny kasi at madaling pakisamahan.
"Ikaw anong love language mo?" Wow, baka ngayon lang magkakaroon ng sense ang sasabihin niya.
"I don't know. Siguro quality time or physical touch. How about you?"
"Ang gara naman ng love language mo. Ako, ang love language ko ay Filipino. Minsan English din." Hay, bakit ba umasa pa akong may sense ang sasabihin niya?
"I know what my love language is."
"Ano naman 'yon? French or Spanish?" Hindi pa rin siya bumibitaw sa punchline na 'yan.
"Physical touch." Then I punched his arm pero mukhang wrong move dahil ako lang rin naman ang nasaktan.
"Grabe ka! Ramdam na ramdam ko ang pagmamahal mo." We both laughed while he was touching his arm and I was massaging my knuckles. Natigil ang tawanannamin nang makita namin si Ely sa labas ng unit. He was smiling while leaning against the door with a boquet of my favorite flowers when our eyes met. His smile faded when he saw the man next to me.
"Lagot ka. Galit ata sa'yo." Bulong sa'kin ni Zane.
Why would he be angry at me? Wala naman akong ginagawang masama. Siya nga 'tong 'di nagparamdam. Now he's standing in front of my door like he didn't make me crazy thinking about him for days.
He walked towards me. Ito namang katabi ko ay palipat-lipat ang tingin, akala mo naman nasa isang telenovela.
"Adi, let's talk." He's now in front of me. I was about to protest but he held my hand lightly and we stormed off the building.
