Under the Stars (Celestial Series #1)

Chapter 10

We went home with smiles plastered on our faces. Last night was perfect. He just made me fall deeper for him at hindi ko alam kung makakabangon pa ako mula sa pagkakahulog.

I'm on my way to the Cabrera Corporation for my Accounting Internship. The name was familiar but I couldn't care less because I am so nervous but I tried to calm myself. I'm just hoping that this will be a good day for me.

I am 20 minutes early so I waited until the Accounting Department Head showed up and guided me to my assigned desk. Ms. Herrera, the department head, looks intimidating but she's kind. She just instructed me on the tasks that I should do and gave me the files. I should be preparing journal entries from the files she gave me. It was kinda easy since we've been doing this since we were in our freshman year.

On our lunch break, I went to the cafeteria with my block mate, Jian. Good thing she was assigned here and is assigned on the desk next to me. At least may kakilala ako.

After eating, I checked my phone at nakitang may mga unread messages galing kay Ely.

"All I think is beautiful when I think of you" I instantly smiled upon reading that. He's been so consistent on sending me lines from random songs. There was another one.

"Good luck on your first day, love. Kaya mo 'yan! I'm always here. I gotchu ;)" Now who wouldn't fall for this sweet guy? I just sent him my reply.

"Thanks! :)" I don't know what to say so 'yun na lang ang nilagay ko. He instantly replied.

"Wala man lang love? Or kiss? Or a heart? :(" Oh gosh, he's being a baby again. I was about to say that kanina but naiilang naman akong tawagin siyang love. I mean, hello?! We're not even in a relationship yet!

"Thanks Ely! Love. Kiss. Heart." I was laughing a little habang sini-send ko 'yon sa kaniya.

"Nakakatuwa 'yon ha, Ylena Adrienne?" Now he mentioned my whole name. Did he get pissed?  I can almost imagine his irritated face. Hindi na ako nag-reply dahil malapit na matapos ang break ko. Jian and I went back to our desks.

Time flies so fast at namalayan ko na lang na I have a week left to finish my internship. Ely and I have been going out every week. We usually go stargazing at Antipolo, minsan naman tambay lang sa condo niya and talk about random things kahit minsan wala nang sense ang mga pinag-uusapan namin. Spending time with him makes me happy and forget about anything. Kapag magkasama kaming dalawa, parang walang ibang nag-eexist sa mundo. It's like we're trapped in our own world.

We are now at his condo and we're watching The Kissing Booth 2.He prepared our snacks then turned off the lights after. Nakaupo ako sa sofa habang nakahiga naman siya at ginawang unan ang mga hita ko. He requested pa nga na subuan ko siya ng popcorn. I don't mind anyway.

I was wearing a frown when the film ended at napansin 'yon ni Ely.

"Hey, love, what's wrong?" Worry was written all over his face.

"Eh kasi kawawa naman si Marco. He's the perfect guy. I hope he finds someone he deserves sa part 3." I ranted.

"Then Joey King and Jacob Elordi! Gosh! Nanghihinayang ako sa kanila. I mean they look together and it seems like they were meant for each other but they broke up." Then I heard him chuckled which made me turn to him.

"What's funny?" Tanong ko habang bumabangon siya at naupo nang maayos.

"Wala. Nakaka-amuse lang akong tingnan ka habang nagra-rant." He said while looking intently at my face. 

"Ewan ko sa'yo! Pasuyo na nga lang ako niyang popcorn." 

I jumped a little out of surprise when he pulled me closer to him and hugged me.
