Chapter 5

Umiwas ako ng tingin at bumalik na sa dating puwesto ko.

Hindi ko namalayang tapos na pala ang kanta. People are slowly making their way out of the venue. Hinanap ko si Kayle at nakita ko siyang nakatingin sa isang direksiyon, the same direction where Ely is.

Kinalabit ko siya at mukhang nagulat pa siya.

"Adi I saw him! The cute guy sa mall. He's here!" Hinila niya ako papunta kila Ely at wala na akong nagawa kahit ayaw ko. Ang lakas manghila ng babaeng 'to.

Hindi ako makatingin sa kanila lalo na kay Ely kaya nakatingin ako sa sapatos ko ngayon.

"Hi! Remember me? I'm Kayle, 'yong sa mall." Wala talaga siyang ni katiting na hiya sa katawan.

"Uh, yeah." It's one of his friends. I remember them. Sila yung kasama ni Ely sa Starbucks. They're four in the group.

"She's Adi nga pala. My bestfriend."

Nanlaki ang mata ko nang bigla niya akong ipakilala sa mga kaharap namin. I awkwardly smiled at them, hindi pa rin makatingin kay Ely.

"Uhm h-hi!"

They introduced themselves to us one by one, sila Zane, Eon, Dylan and Ely. They're all studying here in UP. Zane's on his 4th year in Legal Management, Eon and Dylan also in their 4th year in Architecture and Ely's on his 5th year in Civil Engineering. They're graduating na pala well, except for Eon and Dylan. Hindi ko na tuloy siya maabutan if ever. I'm planning to study law pa naman here sa UP.

And it hit me. What am I thinking? So what if he's not here na when I transfer? I'll transfer here to study and learn and not to flirt or something. I should keep that in mind.

Kayle's eyes widened nang magpakilala si Ely. I know what's running on her mind and I'm pretty sure hindi niya ako titigilan mamaya.

Nagpaalam na kami at umuwi na. Tama nga ako, on our way to her condo hindi na ako tinantanan ni Kayle. She keeps on asking me if the Ely we met kanina was the same Ely sa Starbucks. I tried to deny but nahuli niya pa rin ako.

"He's so gwapo nga. No wonder you almost drooled nang makita mo siya."

Mukhang magiging kaagaw ko pa ata ang gagang 'to.

What the freak? Kaagaw? So I like Ely rin? Oh God.

I shook my head and shrugged off the thought. Para makabawi, si Kayle naman ang inintriga ko tungkol sa sinasabi niyang cute guy sa mall. It's obviously one of those four. I tried but wala akong napala.

Nang makarating kami sa condo niya, we went straight to each other's room, siya sa room niya at ako naman ay sa guest room. She's been living here since our freshman year.

After taking a bath ay nahiga na ko. I checked my phone and a notification popped up on my screen.

Eleandre Mitchell Valdivia sent you a friend request.

I have a guess that this is Ely so I checked the account and confirmed that it was him. I was hesitant at first to accept his request but I don't want him to think that I'm a snob so, I accepted it.

And since when did I care about what he thinks of me?!

Another one popped up. It was a message from Ely. I checked it only to find out that it was just a wave. He sent another message, probably explaining na napindot lang or what. I read the message and I tried so hard to contain my laughter because Kayle's probably sleeping.
