Chapter 7

Tulala ako buong biyahe pauwi dahil sa nangyari kanina. I mean, who wouldn't? Imagine, your crush kissed you on your cheeks! Pisngi pa lang 'yon. Paano pa kaya kung sa lips na?

Jesus Christ! I am definitely not thinking straight anymore. Ely did this to me. That asshole has this effect on me that I can't explain. Ang alam ko lang ay naiinis ako sa tuwing kinakausap niya ako at kinikilig naman sa tuwing mahuhuli ko siyang nakatingin sa'kin.

"Hey! Earth to Adi! I'm talking to you kanina pa then you're spacing out pala. What happened ba?" Doon lang ako bumalik sa reyalidad.

"I was just thinking about my unfinished school works. You know, I have to finish them before ako mag-start sa internship ko and that would be 2 weeks from now," pagpapalusot ko.

"Oh, is that so? I thought kasi hindi ka pa nakaka-move on sa kiss ni Ely kanina."

My face went red instantly when I heard the word kiss and Ely's name. Nakita niya pala 'yon? I thought she's inside the car na that time.

"Come on! It was just a friendly kiss. Why make a big deal out of it?" I am convincing her and myself as well.

"Oo nga naman. Why am I making it a big deal? I mean, hello?! Hinalikan lang naman ako sa pisngi ng crush ko. Of course I won't make a big deal out of it." There she is, being a sarcastic bitch again.

"Well atleast ako nahalikan na ng taong gusto ko kahit sa pisngi lang. What about you? I bet until now wala pa ring progress sainyo ni Zane. You know, you can't fool me. I know you have an eye for him." I fired back.

"Taong gusto ko? Oh God! Ylena Adrienne! You like him! You said you like him! Don't you dare deny that! I know I heard it right."

I-I like him? Oh gosh. I am so dead.

I immediately went out of the car the moment she stopped the engine. It was dark when we got home. Nang makarating kami sa unit niya, I did the usual. Then after freshening up, I got my laptop and notes to start studying. But before that, I posted a photo of my table setup on my IG story.

I was in the middle of reading my notes for my Integrated Accounting subject when my phone vibrated. I put it in a silent mode since I was reviewing but still I checked it.

"Hey! Nakauwi ka na?" It was a dm from Ely. He replied to my IG story.

I was about to ignore his dm but I find it hard to resist him.

"Obvious ba?" I replied.

"Sungit naman. Nagtatanong lang eh."

I decided not to reply and focused instead on my reviewer. Hindi nagtagal ay tumawag na siya. It was a freakin' video call! I Nagmamadali akong pumunta sa harap ng salamin just to check if I look presentable. I looked pale so I applied a bit of lip gloss then I answered the call.
