It was finally Friday, the day of Dahlia's party. Until that day, Denali tried to ignore her feelings and her step sister as much as she was capable of; but she knew, deep inside, that there are some thoughts you can't avoid and some feelings you can't deny.
Rosé and Denali were in their bedroom getting ready for the party. Rosé was applying her makeup, and Denali was trying to find a proper dress to wear, but no one seemed to be the perfect one for her.
"Can you please stop fussing, sis?" Rosé put down her makeup brush and turn around.
"I'm not going." Denali threw herself on the bed earning a laugh from Rosé.
"You're such a drama queen."
"But I can't find a fucking dress to wear!" Denali complained.
"You can use one of mine if you want." Rosé offered, getting back to put her makeup on.
"It wouldn't fit me."
"What?" Rosé looked at her again. "What do you mean?"
"My thighs, and hips..." Denali muttered.
"What's wrong with them?"
"Everything." Denali stated, as she burried her face on the pillow.
"Oh no, no no no." Rosé stood and approached her. "Come here." She carefully took Denali's hands making her stand up from bed.
"What are you doing?" Denali whined, as Rosé leaded her to the mirror.
"Look at you." Rosé said softly, wrapping her arms around Denali's tiny waist from behind, which made the girl's heart pound hard. "You're beautiful."
"Please, don-" Denali whispered, but Rosé cut her off.
"Before I met you," She spoke, looking at Denali through the mirror. "I never knew what it was like to be able to look at someone and smile for no reason."
"I-," Denali mumbled. "I can't even look at you." She fussed. "This is like..."
"Like there's something between us;" Rosé finished Denali's sentence, "a sort of pull. Something you always do to me and I do as well."
"I'm sorry." Denali slipped out of Rosé's arms. "I have to change." She went back to the closet, and grabbed the first dress she saw. "Fuck it." She muttered.
"Wait." Rosé said, as she rushed to the closet and grabbed one of her own dresses. "Try this." She handed her the dress and Denali took it. She went to the bathroom to get changed.
When she was done, she felt honestly beautiful. She wasn't sure if it was because of the dress or Rosé's words. No one ever made her feel that way.
"How do I look?" Denali asked, entering the bedroom and closing the door behind her.
Rosé looked at her. The short pink dress fit her perfectly, and the shiny latex fabric made a beautiful contrast with Denali's black curly hair. "Like you're trying to kill me." Rosé finally muttered.
Denali chukled, as she glanced at her. Rosé was fully dressed up, wearing a simple black short dress, wrapped perfectly around her frame, and showing her amazing legs.
"What are you looking at, sis?" Rosé went closer.
"Nothing."
"Are you sure?" Rosé asked, as she was walking towards Denali, and the girl was walking backwards, until Denali's back found the wall.
Rosé leaned closer to the girl's ear. "Try not to gasp." She whispered, as she began to leave kisses all over Denali's neck.
"Stop," Denali said, her breathing ragged. "Please."
