"I wanna stay like this forever." Denali whispered, her head resting on Rosé's shoulder. They were at the park, sitting under a tree, while watching the sunset.

Rosé simply took Denali's hand into hers. Her mind was a mess. She was thinking about how her dad cheated on Alice, and how Denali and she were hiding it from the woman. But now, something was added to those thoughts: Nicky's text, which Rosé left on read.

It was all a lot for her. So many emotions at once.

"I love you, Nali." She whispered.

"I love you too, Rosie. We're gonna be fine, okay?"

"I hope so."

Rosé moved a little, making Denali lift her head. They stared into each other's eyes for a moment, until Rosé spoke.

"I think we should tell your mom, Nali. It will be worse if she finds out in a different way."

Denali looked at a side, shaking her head. "I don't think I can do that."

"But baby," Rosé sighed, "I'm trying to make this easier for everyone."

"I don't wanna lose you, Rosie."

"And I don't wanna lose you either, but this is the right thing to do." Rosé spoke, as Denali was still shaking her head. "Baby, see this as an advantage for us. If they break up, there will be nothing standing between us; no parents, no marriage, no sisterhood..."

"You make it sound so easy..." Denali rake her finger through her black curly hair. "You know it wouldn't be like that."

"Trust me, Nali. We can do this, we have to. Your mom doesn't deserve this."

"I don't wanna hurt her."

"She's gonna be even more hurt if she discovers that you hide this from her, baby." Rosé slightly caressed Denali's cheek. "Come here." She said, pulling her into an embrace.

Denali took a deep breath before pulling apart. "Okay, let's do it."

They stood and began to walk to their house. It was supposed to be a ten minutes' walk, but it took them the double of that to make it there. They walked as slowly as they could, but at some point, they reached the house, and they had to do the inevitable.

They were standing in the front door, and Rosé noticed how shaky Denali's hands were. She took them into hers, trying to calm her.

"I can tell her if you don't want to do it yourself, baby."

Denali took a deep breath. "No, no." She shook her head. "I can do it. I have to be the one doing it."

"I'm gonna be by your side the entire time, okay?"

"Okay."

"Come here." Rosé said, pulling the girl in for a quick kiss. "It's gonna be okay, everything is gonna be alright." She caressed the girl's face, before the two of them shook their bodies to release the stress and opened the door.

"Mom?" Denali mumbled. "Mom, I have to tell you somet-"

Denali's sentence was cut off by the sight of Alice sitting on the couch, her face buried in her hands, and a lot of used tissues beside her.

"Mom? Is everything alright?" Denali asked shakily.

The woman lifted her head up, looking at the two girls standing in front of them. They could see the smudge mascara under her eyes, as well as some tears.

"Connor cheated on me," she stated.

Denali froze in her place, and Rosé sighed loudly, raking her hands through her ginger hair. "I told you, Nali." She turned around, not wanting to look at the crying woman in front of her. "I told you since day one."
