Chapter 24 Imprisoned

Dabi lit his arm on fire he raced towards the other demon enraged. All he saw was red Hawks easily dodged his attack. Hawks pulled a feather from his wings he couldn't let Dabi attack him. He had to keep him distracted until his backup arrived. Hawks slammed Dabi into the wall to keep him from moving. Hawks bit his lip to surpress a scream as he felt his hands heat up. Dabi grinned manically as he felt Hawks move away from him. "You know I thought you were smarter than to touch me. I have a fire quirk you know." Dabi taunted the other demon who ignored it.

"I'm sorry Dabi. I have to do this." Hawks apologized. Dabi tipped his head back his insane laughter making Hawks freeze. Dabi walked towards his old best friend this was the most crazy Hawks had ever seen him. The demon hoped his backup showed up soon since Dabi was advancing on him. Hawks had promised Enji stop the demon once he learned of his plans. Hawks couldn't say no to his hero after all. "You ain't so sorry if you are betraying me." Dabi sneered as he cornered Hawks.

Hawks looked around frantically as Dabi closed in on him. He had to escape Dabi put his hands on either side of Hawks head not allowing him to escape. "I trusted you." Dabi said Hawk's eyes widened in shock Dabi sounded hurt. Hawks had never heard the demon sound so broken before. Hawks wanted to say anything to his old best friend but the words were stuck in his throat like lead. Hawks felt something land on his face confused he looked up to see bloody tears running down Dabi's face. Hawks reached up to try to wipe them away but Dabi growled so he stopped.

"Dabi go now the king's guards are here!" A distraught looking Twice said as he ran into the kitchen out of breath. Dabi's head whipped fast into Twice's direction, "What?" He asked. "Run Dabi please. You can't get caught not after all of you're planning." Twice pleaded Dabi growled. The demon dropped Hawks onto the ground. Hawks was about to get up when the heel of Dabi's boot slammed into his ribs. Hawks let out a pained groan as Dabi ground his boot into him. "Not trying to escape now, huh?" Dabi asked the other demon mockingly.

Shigaraki was snapped out of his frozen state as the door to Twice's house was busted open. Twice's face paled at the sheer number of guards that had been sent. Their was no way Dabi was going to escape now. Dabi growled angrily his plan was getting ruined by Hawks. Dabi took his boot of the other demon he had bigger things to worry about. Dabi lit his hand on fire the guards didn't even flinch at his power. They rushed in one by one the one. One of the guards grabbed Shigaraki who kicked at them and screamed angrily. Dabi doubted he could make his threats of killing their mothers come true.

Dabi lit on of the guards on fire they screamed in pain. They fell to the floor Dabi walked past them to another one. They launched some kind of electricity at him but he dodged it easily. Dabi burned them to he was about to burn the one that was holding Shigaraki when he felt a pain in his neck. Dabi looked behind him Hawks was behind him a needle in his hand. Dabi's eyes narrowed in hatred he felt dizzy as he stumbled a step forward. The demon's vision blurred he could see black spots in his vision. Dabi collapsed to the floor as the drug he'd been injected with took control.

"Dabi wake up!" Shigaraki yelled to the demon but it was to late. Shigaraki struggled against the hands holding him he had to get to Dabi. He couldn't imagine what they would do to Dabi if they caught him. However, the guard just held his wrists harder Shigaraki felt a prick in his neck then everything was black. "Let's head out." Hawks said as he walked out the doorway. Guilt was eating away at him. Should he have denied Enji? No he couldn't do that Enji was his hero. Then again Dabi had been his best friend. Hawks didn't know what he should have done. It was to late to rethink his decision now.

Shigaraki woke up to screaming he hurriedly opened his eyes looking around terrified. He appeared to be in a cell Dabi was in the corner pressed up against the bars. The demon was yelling at the guards to let them go he had a panicked expression on his face. Dabi looking terrified didn't feel right to Shigaraki the demon was never afraid. Why was he so scared now? Dabi started threatening them Shigaraki needed to get him to stop as one of the guards was about to attack him. "Dabi calm down." Shigaraki said the demon didn't heart it over his own yelling.

The guard was about to open the cell as Shigaraki grabbed Dabi's hand prying it off of the cells bars. Dabi looked at him then Shigaraki tried again, "Calm down." Dabi huffed not wanting to give up his fight but he relented. Shigaraki held his hand as they both sat down on the dingy bed that was in the back corner. Shigaraki was sure it was just a piece of wood with a pillow he was proven right as his hand not holding Dabi's brushed up against wood. Dabi death glared at the guards Shigaraki wondered what they'd done to piss him off so much.

"What's wrong?" Shigaraki asked quietly do the guards wouldn't hear. "The king's coming I can't be here! We need to get out Shigaraki. If he sees me he'll kill me I've been a pain in his side since I was born." Dabi said he looked hurt saying the last thing. Dabi had never said anything about his past or connection to the demon king. Shigaraki squeezed his hand in encouragement Dabi scoffed trying to look annoyed but a blush rose to his face. Now it was time for them to look for a escape.
