Chapter 25 Escape

"Ready?" Dabi asked a grin on his face. Shigaraki smiled back they were getting ready to put their plan into action. Dabi couldn't use his powers yet since they had been injected with something that took their powers away. They were in desperate need to get away since according to Dabi the demon king had a bone to pick with Dabi. Dabi waited until one of the guards came a little to close to the bars of their cell. Dabi grabbed a hold of them by the neck. Shigaraki winced as he heard them struggling or breath. The teenager wasn't used to seeing people die or well demons.

Dabi surrpressed the maniac grin that threatened to appear on his face. He glanced over at Shigaraki to see he was already freaking out. The demon didn't need to scare him anymore than he already was. Dabi was originally just going to kill the guard for capturing them. He decided against it to save Shigaraki from being even more terrified. The guard passed out after several seconds of struggling to get air into their lungs. Dabi reached threw the bars grabbing the keys off of the unconscious guard.

Shigaraki let out a relieved sigh when Dabi didn't kill the other demon. He had honestly expected him to. Dabi held his hand out to Shigaraki who grabbed a hold of it. Dabi unlocked the cell door he surprised Shigaraki by dragging him out of the cell quickly. The demon lead Shigaraki up a set of stairs. Shigaraki followed him down a hallway the floor was made of stone. Torches lined the wall letting Shigaraki see a few feet in front of him. It wasn't a problem for Dabi as he had night vision.

Dabi growled he was looking ahead into the darkness. They both stopped moving the demon pulled Shigaraki into his chest. Shigaraki was confused what was Dabi seeing? "What's going on?" Shigaraki asked confused and scared. "He's coming stay with me at all costs." Dabi warned Shigaraki pressed himself further up against him. Dabi didn't say anything as Shigaraki got as close to him as possible. Shigaraki looked out into the hallway he couldn't see anything.

Shigaraki shivered a huge blast of air came down the hallway blowing out the torches. "Come out, bastard I know you're there." Dabi snarled he held Shigaraki tightly to his chest. The teen was shaking lightly scared out of his mind. Dabi wanted to comfort him he didn't have the time to though. A intense heat surged fourth as someone walked towards them. Dabi tensed up his hand twitched at his side the demon was ready to burn something if needed. The footsteps were loud Shigaraki guessed they must be heavily built.

The demon was huge standing at 6'4 Shigaraki guessed. He had crimson hair and his eyes were a eerily familiar shade of blue. The demon king had wings folded on his back, spiraling black horns, and a tail a lot like Dabi's. Dabi glared at the man intensely he had never seen Dabi have so much hate in his eyes. Shigaraki wondered what the king had done to him to get that kind of look. The teen didn't wonder about it though as the strange demon spoke finally. "Hawks told me that their was intruders. I see you've come back to cause havoc again, Dabi." Enji said his expression was angry.

"You know I couldn't let you get off easy, old man. It's my job to make you're life  miserable since you made my for so long." Dabi said Enji looked confused. "I didn't even know you until one day you waltzed into my castle threating to take my spot as king." Enji said Dabi scoffed. So, the old man still didn't recognize him? Well, that would change soon Dabi smirked to himself. He would out his plan into motion with or without Hawks. The demon hoped Hawks hadn't told Enji. He doubted he did as the man still didn't recognize him. Dabi didn't know weather or not to be disappointed.

"Enough talking I got to go." Dabi said he picked Shigaraki up carrying him bridal style. Shigaraki felt a blush rise on his face at being carried like that. Enji was blocking the demon from escaping. Dabi needed to get him out of the way some how. Dabi smirked again Shigaraki looked at him confused. What was he thinking? Shigaraki thought concerned when Dabi smirked it was never good. "Use you're decay to get get bitch face over there to move." Dabi whispered in Shigaraki's ear. Shigaraki's blush deepened at having Dabi so close to him. Dabi chuckled at the teen the demon would deal with his own feelings later.

"I can't use my powers remember!" Shigaraki hissed at the demon. "Calm down it was made for demons so it won't work as well on you." Dabi said Shigaraki doubted that. "Hello I'm part demon." Shigaraki said Enji watched them argue. "It should've wore off by now." Dabi said trying to get Shigaraki to listen to him. "How do you know?" Shigaraki asked. "Well, let's say my father has kept people hostage before. If seen that stupid drug being injected into multiple people. It eventually wears off." The demon explained.

Enji didn't know if he should burn them or not. They could make a great source of information. If he caught Dabi it would be a huge relief. The other demon had been bothering him constantly for months. It was annoying even if he put up a good fight. Enji had a army while he only had his powers.

Shigaraki nodded hesitantly he didn't feel like arguing with Dabi anymore. "If I die you get to explain why to Kurogiri." Shigaraki threatened. Dabi shivered thinking of the fallen angel scared him. He was scary if he was angry. Dabi carried Shigaraki in front of Enji before setting him down. Shigaraki stared up at the giant demon. The teen swallowed the lump in his throat he was supposed to attack that thing? Enji could probably kill him with one hand if he wanted to. Enji was beyond confused was Dabi sacrificing his friend to escape? Enji was about to summon his fire but was stopped as he felt pain in his arm where the teen touched him.

With his dad distracted Dabi took the opportunity. The demon grabbed a hold of Shigaraki he grabbed his hand dragging him hurriedly down the hallway. Enji yelled for the guards to stop them. One guard came sprinting around the corner. Dabi looked behind him Enji was in pursuit of them. Shigaraki's eyes widened in panic as he saw Enji's flames come to life. Unlike Dabi he wasn't immortal or almost immune to demon powers. Dabi tried to teleport it don't work the first time making him frantic. The demon tried harder this time it worked. He fell down on the ground relieved they were safe and free.
