Chapter 28 Ashes

Dabi walked up to the man who was sitting on his throne. Enji's guards charged Dabi to try to prevent him from reaching the king. Dabi dispelled them quickly teleporting them somewhere. The demon strode up to Enji his stance radiated bloodlust, "It's time for the final showdown, dad." Dabi said Enji's eyes widened. "What are you going on about boy?" Enji asked he stood up easily towering over Dabi by several inches. Dabi laughed his voice full of amusement, "Still don't got it, huh? Recognize the name Touya?" Dabi asked.

Enji faltered a step backwards, "Theirs no way you're my son! Touya died and he isn't a bloodthirsty murder like you!" Enji yelled Dabi smiled he enjoying his dad's rage. Dabi reached into his pocket he pulled out something. Shigaraki looked at it confused what did the demon have? Dabi opened the bottle dumping it on his hair. Black was washed away revealing snow white. "No." Enji said in disbelief. Dabi laughed manically, "Yes, isn't it great? Now we can finally end our little dance, father! Come now don't be afraid to dance in hell's flames with me!" Dabi shouted out he was hysterical now.

Shigaraki watched the two nervously he didn't like the maniac energy spilling out from Dabi. Dabi rose his hand up Enji was to shocked to prevent the blast of fire from burning his face. Enji screamed as fire hotter than any he'd ever experienced before burned away at his skin. Dabi laughed at his dad's pain. Shigaraki stood their frozen not sure what to do. Enji lit his body up to try to go on the defensive. It worked but the damage had already been done. Shigaraki stated transfixed in horror at the demon king's face. A huge burn mark covered the left side of his face from his hair line down to his chin.

Dabi jumped back watching for what Enji's first move would be. "Touya stop this I don't want to fight you!" Enji shouted out Dabi scoffed. "Alright, then give up you're title. Run far from here now." Dabi said Enji's eyes narrowed. "I'm not doing that." Enji growled. "Ya, you worked all you're life to get here right? Was putting the pain on you're family worth it though? I hate you. We play by my rules or fight okay?" Dabi asked Enji. "A fight it is then." Enji said he didn't seem to like the idea of fighting Dabi. He couldn't loose his title though not after all he had done to get it. Even if what he did was no better than Dabi.

"Thought that'd be how this goes." Dabi said he lit his arm on fire. Enji flared up multiple part of his body preparing to attack. Dabi rushed forward he tried to land a hit on Enji by burning his arm. Enji dodged it he winced as he felt the pain from the burn Dabi had given him. Enji punched Dabi in the stomach knocking the air out of him. Dabi doubled over falling onto his knees Enji tried to grab him. The demon was faster he teleported himself a safe distance away.

Dabi stood up he was still out of breath. Enji moved closer to him to try to take advantage while he was still trying to catch his breath. Once he got close Dabi teleported away again this time behind the other demon. "Quit playing with me, Touya!" Enji yelled annoyed. "Aww, dad you don't want to play with me? How sad." Dabi said mockingly.

Dabi kept teleporting not letting Enji catch him. Enji tried to grab at the demon again he disappeared. Enji looked around for him he something sharp digging into his back. Dabi dug his claws into his back then drug them down leaving deep scratches. Enji grunted because of the pain. Dabi laughed jumping backwards as Enji tried to punch him. "To slow you really are getting old." Dabi taunted. Enji growled they continued this way for a while. Dabi dodging Enji injuring him with his claws.

Enji's back and shoulders ached from the multitude of scratches littering his body. They slowly healed due to his body automatically doing it. Dabi teleported behind him trying to score another hit. Enji surprised him as instead of trying to grab him he aimed a blast of fire at him. Dabi not expecting it was hit with the blast. It singed his jacket and shirt burning holes into them. Dabi's healthy skin now had pink burns across it. "That was my favorite jacket, asshole!" Dabi yelled irritated.

Dabi was successfully grabbed by Enji. The demon was lifted off the ground easily by his father. Dabi snarled viciously like a wolf. "Let me go!" He yelled Enji ignored him. Enji heated his body up it was time to end this now. Dabi tried to gather magic to teleport he had used to much not allowing him to. "Fuck." Dabi cursed he felt Enji's hand heat up even threw his jacket and shirt.

"Sorry Touya but you choose this." Enji said confusing the demon. Enji used a lot of his power to pull off his ultimate move. Prominence Burn. Dabi eyes widened shocked as he realized what was happening. Dabi was engulfed in flames as his father tried to kill him. Dabi didn't even scream he knew it was coming, he bite his lip biting it hard enough to draw a steady stream of blood. All Dabi felt was pain as flames burned him all over.

Shigaraki felt tears stream down his cheeks as he watched Dabi be burned. The teen didn't even know what he was doing as he ran towards the demon. "Leave him alone!" He shouted Shigaraki grabbed a hold of Enji's arm out of reflex. The man let go of Dabi as his skin crumbled into nothing more than dust. Dabi fell to the ground his whole body was in pain. His body was trying to heal it Dabi was injured enough it wasn't much good. Shigaraki didn't care about Enji at the moment as he raced over to Dabi. He knelt down next to him he shaked the demon hoping he was okay. "Dabi be okay please!" Shigaraki begged. Dabi didn't answer.
