Chapter 29 King At Last

"Dabi be okay please!" Shigaraki pleaded. The demon didn't answer Shigaraki felt tears blur his vision. Dabi laid there in pain not able to move or answer his boyfriend. Enji walked over to where they where. His arm was missing it's skin due to his attack. Shigaraki glared at the demon watching him carefully. He made sure to keep himself in front of the demon. Shigaraki knew he had to protect Dabi no matter what.

Dabi let out a pained groan Shigaraki's attention instantly returned to him. "Thank the gods you're alive!" Shigaraki said relieved. Blue eyes opened up to stare up at him. Dabi managed to speak even if it was painful, "Heal me." Shigaraki looked at him confused how would he do that? Shigaraki wasn't fully demon the only thing he knew how to do is decay. Enji was about to light his flames Dabi shot a weak blast at him. Shigaraki startled forgetting about the man was alarmed. He touched the ground where he was standing making the demon king have to back up.

"How?" Shigaraki asked he had to do this quick. Dabi looked at his hand Shigaraki was confused. "Grab my hand I can lend you my magic." Dabi croaked out between painful breaths. "Shh, don't talk." Shigaraki said worried Dabi complied not having any other options. Shigaraki grabbed Dabi's hand it was hot but bearable enough he could touch it. Shigaraki felt soothing touch of Dabi's healing he focused on it. Shigaraki wasn't sure if this was going to work he hoped it did.

Shigaraki felt the magic in his own hand now. He released it into Dabi's body. Shigaraki didn't open his eyes not wanting to break his focus. Dabi felt the soothing sensation he grinned Shigaraki was doing it. After a few minutes Dabi felt the pain was dulled. Enji stayed back probably due to not wanting to be decayed. "Creep, help me up." Dabi said he tried to sit up. Shigaraki helped him Dabi almost collapsed from the pain he pushed threw it. "Be careful." Shigaraki warned.

"I will now to my feet." Dabi said it took them several agonizing attempts for him to stand. When they got there Dabi leaned in Shigaraki for support. "Let's end this, huh?" Dabi asked he smiled at Shigaraki. "Absolutely, don't get hurt idiot. You scared me." Shigaraki said worried. "I love you." Dabi said catching Shigaraki off guard as he'd said it randomly. "Love you to now go become king." Shigaraki said he kissed Dabi on the check who smiled weakly back.

Dabi lit his arm on fire he shot it toward his father. Enji dodged it sending a blast of his own. Dabi barely managed to dodge it he was exhausted. Dabi sent another few rounds of fire at Enji he successfully hit his dad once. Dabi panted out of breath from all the fighting. Smoke came from his body in waves before disappearing into the air. Dabi felt himself losing strength he fell towards the ground stopping himself last minute with his hands. The battle was coming to an end he could tell. He was going to win or his father was. Dabi swore he wasn't going to let Enji win, he had to prove him wrong.

The demon managed to push himself up he was hunched over balancing his hands on his knees to keep from tumbling into the ground again. The demon forced himself into a standing position. It wasn't easy as his whole body ached from over using his fire, feeling exhausted, and his dad hitting him. Dabi wasn't sure which did a number on him more but he guessed it didn't matter.

His wings were folded limply by his side the demon spread them out to avoid any attacks if necessary. Dabi could fly with them he rarely did preferring teleporting. He felt exhausted he didn't even know if he'd be able to. Dabi wasn't sure if he could dodge prominence burn again or survive it. Then again Enji didn't look like he could pull another one off either. Both father and son were at their limits.

"Give up, Touya." Enji said Dabi laughed at him. Dabi smiled at the man amused, "I'll never give up dad not as long as I'm alive or you're standing." Dabi said determined he didn't want to loose no matter what. "I don't want to fight you. We all know I'll win anyways." Enji said he saw how exhausted his son was. Dabi wouldn't hold out that much longer he needed to get him down fast.
