Chapter 13- Danny's Disappearance

Danny POV

As I was packing my things, I noticed that I was in complete control.

No more setbacks, holding back, or anything to push me.

Now, I can finally be someone that matters. Someone who won't let others push, hurt, or neglect you.

I smiled darkly as I packed my things before walking out of the house.

It was already the afternoon, and I felt more calm than worried.

"Where do you want to go, Ruse?" I asked with a gentle smile on my face.

Ruse 'smiled' at me and said, "I know a place..."

Meanwhile

Phantom POV

I was flying faster than Vlad or the other ghosts to get to Danny.

'Please don't leave...' I thought, biting my lips.

Unfortunately for me, I was slammed into the wall because of the ghost shield. 

'Ow... Damn it...' I thought, rubbing my face.

Vlad caught on as soon as he saw me and turned back to normal.

'Curse you-'

I could only look outside and frown. 

'Damn you Fruitloops...'

He knocked on the door, and Ms. Fenton answered it.

"Vlad? What are you-"

"Where's your son?" He asked quickly, seeming as if time could stop at any minute.

"Danny? He should be in his room. Danny, can you come down here?" 

When no answer or footsteps were heard, I started to suspect something.

'Oh, no, could he-'

"Can you get him? I really need to see him," Vlad said, sounding desperate.

'Not his fault...' I thought, couldn't blame him for feeling like that.n

Ms. Fenton left for a few seconds, only to come back without him. 

"He's not in his room, probably took a walk or something."

Vlad and I were paled and started to sweat. 

"O-Oh, okay. I'll just go look for him, thanks for your time and goodbye."

Fruitloops left and ran as fast as soon as the other ghosts along with Sam and Tucker came.

"Is he-" Sam asked, but Vlad cut her off, "No..."

We split up into teams to try and find him before something alarming happens.

I was with Sam and Tucker, Vlad with Technus, Walker, and Skulker, Ember with Youngblood and Spectra, Kitty with her boyfriend and their pet, and Desiree with the Box Ghost and Pointdexter. 

"Let's try to find Danny," Ember shouted as soon as we split up.

I felt my insides burning with guilt, but there was nothing to do unless we find Danny.

'I hope it's not too late...' I thought.

'Please...' 

With Danny and Ruse

Danny POV

With Ruse's help, we managed to find a hidden wall in the town and get by.

'Damn, that would've been easy if I did this every day at school,' I thought, feeling empty.

"Hey, Ruse?" I asked.

"Yes, Danny?"

"Where exactly are we going?" 

"Don't worry, it's a surpsie~!"

"You sure?"

"Yep!"

I shut up but before falling slowly to the ground.

'Damn stupid headache!' I thought, gripping my hand to my head. 

"Danny?!" Ruse asked, panicked at my sudden fall.

"I'm fine, nothing to worry about," I said, getting up.

She was convinced, but we continued to walk despite my headache.

"How much longer?" I asked.

"Almost... And we're here!" She said, presenting me a room of a statue with a stone hand.

"Wow..." I said, amazed.

'It's so dark and a great place to rest for a bit,' I thought, falling again. 

This time, Ruse didn't seem to worry, not that I see it as a problem.

'Now we wait...'

Ruse POV

"NO, NOT HERE! PLEASE, OTHER ME!" My half pleaded.

'Shut up, you're not in charge here. I am, and I will do it my way!'

"NO!"

'It's too late, anyway! Tonight is finally it!' I maniacally laugh inside. 

And with that, I cut her off and then turned.

I looked at Danny as he spaced into his thoughts, letting me look up at the sky.

'Soon...' I thought, smiling.
