Shikatema- Tutor

•Chapter 5

•Temari's Pov
  We walked in silence, until we exited school grounds. "Is your house far from here?" I ask trying to break the silence. "Yeah it's not to far. My parents have both of the cars, so we are gonna have to walk though." Shikamaru says with his hands in his pockets.

   "Hey guys!" Ino yells as she runs up behind us, and smushes us all into a group hug. "Hey Ino." "Hi." we respond. "Are you two coming to the park with us?" she asks as she points behind her too Neji, Tenten, and Sai, who were all walking further behind us. "No, we are going to go his house to study." I say. "To "study" huh?" Ino asks with a smirk. "What a drag." the lazy boy mumbles. "Yes Ino, to study." I say as I jokingly sway my notebook in front of her face. "Mhm. Well you two have fun "studying"." Ino teases as she runs back to our friends. "How troublesome." Shikamaru says as he shakes his head.

  Before long, we arrived at his house. "Go ahead and make yourself comfortable. I'm gonna go change." he says as he holds the door open for me, then takes off his shoes, so I do the same. As he goes upstairs, I sat at the dining room table, and started taking out my books. 'This place is nice.' I think to myself. While I was still taking the books out my bag and placing it on the table, I heard a knock at the door. "Shikamaru, someone is at the door." I yell loud enough for him to hear me, but I didn't get an answer. The person knocked again, so I called out his name a few more times. "One second." I say to the person through the door.

I cautiously walked up the stairs, and saw a room that had Shikamaru's backpack in it, with the door half open. I walk up to it and knock a few times, but nobody answered. As I turned to head back downstairs, my phone fell out my pocket and rolled into the room. I hesitated to go in and pick it up, because it is rude to just wonder around someone's house. I eventually got the courage to walk in and grab my phone. Once I pick my phone up, I turn around to see Shikamaru walking out the bathroom that was in the room, shirtless. "Umm.. hey." he says as he sees me. "I'm so sorry, I came to look for you, because someone was at the door, but my phone fell and I had to come get it." I say trying to keep my eyes from wandering onto his toned abs. "Your good." he says as he slips a sweatshirt over his head and heads out the room. While I was talking to him, I felt my face turning red, but I tried to fight it.

I followed him down the stairs, and sat back down at the table. "Hey Shikamaru." the guy at the door says once he opens it. "Hi Asuma Sensei, sorry I didn't hear you at the door." the lazy boy replies. "No worries, but thank you for agreeing to watch Mirai on such short notice. I'm already late so I have to get going." the guy at the door says as he hands Shikamaru a bag, and a car seat that contained a baby. He says bye before he closed the door, and walked over and placed the car seat on the table. "This is Mirai." he says as he starts taking her out the seat. "Aw hi Mirai." I say as a wave hello to the little girl. She just stares at me with drowsy eyes. "She's probably gonna take a nap, so let's start studying now." he says with a yawn as he sits down, cradling the little baby. "You look like you could use a nap too." I joke. "I could." he says back jokingly. He starts breaking down one of the lessons that we learned, in a way that it was easier for me to understand.

  For some reason I was still having trouble with it, and I looked visibly frustrated. "Temari, you don't need to stress. A lot of people study in this subject, even I do sometimes. Just relax and try to listen." he says calmly, looking me straight in my eyes, which made me blush a little. I quickly turn my head to face the paper again before a nod. 'Why am I being so shy?!?!" I questioned myself. About half an hour goes by, and we heard keys opening the front door. "I'm home." a woman announces, which i'm assuming is his mom. "Welcome home." Shikamaru greets her. She walks over and sees us both sitting at the table. "Good afternoon." I greet her with a smile. "Hello beautiful!" she responds. She walks over to Shikamaru and smacks him on the back of his head. "Ow." he says quietly, trying not to wake the child that was asleep in his arms. "So you were not going to tell me you had a girlfriend!?!" she questions him. "Mom, she's not my girlfriend, she's my friend Temari." the lazy boy says as he rubs the back of his head with one of his hands. "Well she should be, she is gorgeous!" she says as she walks next to me with a wide smile. "Thank you." I smile to her. "I'm Yoshino  by the way, but you can just call me mom!" she states. I just smiled and nodded because I didn't know what else to do. Shikamaru face palms himself. "Okay mom, we are going to finish studying." he says. "All right have fun you two!" she says as she walks up the stairs.
