Shikatema- Tutor

•Chapter 7

Temari's Pov
School was over, and Ebisu Sensei announced that we would be having a test tomorrow, that can either drastically drop or lift our grades. He eyed me and Shikamaru when he said this.

  Shikamaru suggested study information at the park, because he didn't want his parents to bother us again, but I offered that we should study at my house. Since we were going to walk to my house, Gara and Kankuro are going to walk with us. "Hey." Gara says as he waves at me and Shikamaru. I honestly don't know why he doesn't have a problem with Shikamaru, because he is usually worst that Kankuro when he sees me around boys.

  "Kankuro told me to tell you that he will meet us at home." Gara says, so we all start walking. "How was school?" I ask my little brother. "It was okay." he answers in his usual bland tone.

  Once we arrive at the house, I direct Shikamaru to my room, and he sits down at the desk. I sat down on my bed, and we started studying. For the first 20 minutes I was still struggling a little, but I started picking up what he was saying. We studied for about two hours before we were interrupted by Kankuro bursting through the door. "What's going on in here?" he says as he runs in. "Get out." I say not looking up from the text book. "If you dare to lay a single finger on my sister, I will kill you." Kankuro screams as Gara walks in and drags him out the room. Shikamaru just sat there with a blank look on his face. "I'm sorry about that." I say. "Don't worry about it." He responds.

  It has been 30 minutes and during that 30 minutes Kankuro came in about 20 more times. "There is a park near here, do you want to go there so he can't bother us anymore?"  I suggest. "If you want to." he says as he stands up. We walk out, and almost run out the front door, hoping that Kankuro didn't notice. Luckily he didn't. As we are exiting, my mom pulled into the driveway. "Hey mom." I wave as I walk up to her while she gets out the car. "Hello beautiful." she greets me before she looks over at the lazy boy behind me. "Good afternoon." he says with a lazy smile. "You must be Shikamaru." she smiles. "Yes." he nods. "He is cute." my mom whispers to me as she elbows me in the shoulder, which made me turn red. "Okay come on Shikamaru." I say as I start walking and wave bye to my mom.

  "So i'm cute." he teases with a smirk. "Shut up." I say as I punch him in the arm. "Troublesome woman." he mumbles as he rubs the arm I hit. Once we got to the park, we found a tree to sit under. We sat there and studied until it was dark. I was starting to get tired, but we only went over about half the material that we need to know for the test. 'I should have ate before we left.' I think to myself.

  "Do you want to take a break?" he says, breaking me out of thought. "No im good." I reassure him. "I think we should take a break, you won't take in anymore information if you just fill your whole brain up at once." he states in a lazy tone. "But it's getting late. Don't your parents want you home?" I ask him. "I'm pretty sure my mom is going to dinner with her friends tonight, and my dad won't mind." he shrugs. "I'm just going to let my mom know that we are studying and she won't worry about where I am." I say as I take out my phone to text her, and he nods.

Winter was approaching, so it was pretty chilly outside. I'm an idiot for not thinking to bring a jacket. When I look over at Shikamaru, he was looking up at the sky that was full of stars. I was sitting next to him, so I got to see his perfect side profile. He had such a defined jawline, I just wanted to trace it. "Are you just going to keep staring at me?" he says with a chuckle. "I wasn't." I say as I hit him in the arm as I blush. "Stop hitting me, you troublesome woman." he says as he rubs his arm.

It was already cold outside, and the wind was starting to blow harder, which caused me to start shivering. I wasn't used to the cold because, Suna city was down south were the coldest it would get would probably be about 65 degrees. It looked like he was about to say something, but his phone starts ringing. It was a facetime call from Ino. "Hey Shika!" she says as he picks up the phone. "Hey Ino. What's up?" he asks. "Nothing, i'm just bored. Are you outside?" she replies. "Yeah i'm helping Tem study." he says as he points the phone at me and I wave hi. "What is wrong with you two, it is 50 degrees outside! Aren't you guys cold?!?" Ino yells. "We can handle ourselves Ino. We got to go bye." he says as he hangs up. "Okay are you ready to start again." I say still shivering slightly. "Yeah." he says as he scoots closer to me and puts his arm around me to warm me up. I blushed at his sudden gesture. His scent is soothing, it made me want to curl up and fall asleep. But that's probably because i'm tired.
