Shikamaru's Pov
*Ring ring ring*
I can hear my phone going off, but the problem is it's all the way on my night stand, and im really comfortable.
*Ring ring ring*
I look over at my alarm to see that it's only 8 in the morning. Who would be calling me at this time on a weekend.
Once my phone stops ringing, I just close my eyes and attempt to go back to bed before I was interrupted again.
"Shikamaru!" I hear my mom yell as she walks in. I hum in response. "Time to wake up!" she says opening my curtains and snatching the cover from over my body, causing me to squint my eyes and curl into a ball.
"Five more minutes." I say reaching for the blanket, but my mom moved it so that I would not be able to grab it. "Get your behind up and don't make me repeat myself." my mom says heading towards the door.
I sigh before I slowly sit up and stretch. I love my mom with everything I got, but she can be so troublesome. I pick up my phone, to see a missed call from Kiba. 'What is he doing up so early, and what could he want?' I ask myself. I call him back.
"Oi Shikamaru!" he answers from the other side of the phone. "Hi Kiba." I say with a yawn. "You need something?" he asks. "You called?" I say taking a deep breath in. "Ohh right. Well Naruto forgot to buy tickets for the movie and the tickets are sold out now, so we are just gonna go straight to Temari's house to hang." he says.
"Alright. What time should I be there." I respond. "Everyone is heading there now." he tells me. "Okay, i'll see you there." I say with a sigh as I get up and start heading to the bathroom to brush my teeth.
Once I was done getting ready, I started to head downstairs. "Good morning." I say to my dad as I see him sitting on the couch. "Morning, son." he responds.
"Mom, the plans got changed. We aren't going to the movies. Just Temari's house." I say walking into the kitchen and grabbing a bag of chestnuts.
"Okay, do you have all of your stuff? Let's get going." she says grabbing her keys. "It's okay mom, it's not to far, I can walk. Don't worry about it." I tell her with a yawn. "Don't be silly. I want to." she states heading out the door.

Anybody who knows me knows that I would never walk somewhere if I had the choice not to because walking is a drag, but the thing is that I know my mom and I know she is going to pull something.

I sigh and shove the roasted chestnuts into my pocket before following behind my mom.
After about a 5 minute drive, we arrive at Temari's house. The while way there I was hoping and praying that my mom won't do what I think she is gonna do. As I get out the car, I see that my fear is coming to life. My mom was also getting out the car.
"It's alright mom, you don't need to walk me in." I say in attempt to save myself, but she pleaded against it.
I knock on the door, and a few seconds later Kankuro opens it. It looked like he was about to close it right back, but that was until he saw my mom.
"Good morning." he tells her with a kind smile, not even turning to look at me. "Temari, you have guest!" he yells, moving out of the way allowing us to walk in.
Temari and her mom come walking down the stairs. "Good morning Yoshino-san!" Temari says as she hugs my mom before turning to give me a friendly hug.
"Hi, I'm Shikamaru's mom, you must me Temari's mother. It's a pleasure to finally meet you!" my mom exclaims to Karura-san. "The pleasure is all mine! Your son is such a sweetheart! Shikamaru, I forgot to thank you for walking Temari home the other night." she says giving me a kind smile. "It's no problem." I say.
"Temari is an absolute angel!" my mom exclaims. "Define angel." I hear Kankuro mumble, making me chuckle causing Temari to hit me.
"Why don't you two run along upstairs while we have some tea and chat." Karura-san says looking at Temari and I.

So far, my mom being here isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

"You came early." she says plopping onto her bed. "I thought this was the time we were supposed to come." I raise my eyebrow. "Nope, I said around 1 or 2 but it doesn't really matter." she shrugs.
"I'm sorry, Kiba told me that everyone was on there way." I mention. "Well that's odd because none of them told me that." she says.
"Now why don't you put yourself to use and go get me a water." the emerald eye girl continues, shooing me away with her hand.
"Huh? Aren't I the guest?" I say crossing my arm. "An unwanted one? Yes." she chuckles. "Ouch." I say holding my chest. "I was just joking. Now stop being such a crybaby and go get me a water." the sandy blonde says.
"Troublesome woman." I mumble as I walk out the door. "I heard that!" she yells. "Good." I joke back.
As i'm heading down the stairs, I over hear a conversation my mom was having with Temari's mom.
"Don't tell Temari I told you this, but she blushes at the mention of his name." I hear her mom whisper loudly. "I catch him blushing at her every time I see them together." I hear my mom say.
Now this is exactly why I didn't want my mom in here. I don't even blush when i'm around Temari. I have no reason to.
Wait... did her mom say she blushes at the mention of my name. I feel my face heat up as I come to that realization. Maybe she wasn't talking about me...
Once I calm down, I head all the way down the stairs. "Oh Shikamaru, we were just talking about you." my mom says as she sees me.
So they were talking about me. "Karura-san can I have a water please?" I ask. "Of course you can! You don't need to ask." she tells me. I thank her before walking back up with the water.
As I walk back up to Temari's room and I was about to open the door, the door opens and Temari is standing right in front of me. (Temari is 5'6 and Shikamaru is 5'11)
I'm looking down at her, and I just know my face is as red as a fire truck. She is so pretty. Her eyes. Her hair. Her lips. Her nose. I just love everything about her. What am I thinking?!?!
Her face had a pink blush across it as we stood there. I didn't know what to say so I just held the water bottle up. "This is for you." I say. At that moment I wanted nothing more than to kiss her but that's not my place.
