Title: Sunset
Fandom: Pirates of the Caribbean
Character: Captain Jack Sparrow
Part: 1
PART ONE:
You had been abandoned by your fellow crew and left for dead on an island in the middle of nowhere. The captain had figured out your secret and was disgusted. You leaned against a tree, looking toward the sunset over the sea. Oh, what a lovely sight it was. You'd always enjoyed sunsets, so this helped lift your mood slightly. Maybe you wouldn't die. Though it was likely you would.
You sighed, grabbed your flask, and sipped the bit of rum you had left. You adjusted yourself slightly, feeling a sharp pain through your ribs where they had hit you. You tried to push it from your mind as you put your flask of rum away.
You looked to the horizon once more to see something. It was a ship! Maybe they would come near and you would be saved. You decided a smoke signal would work best, so you quickly began to start a large fire.
Soon enough, the ship neared the island, eventually stopping, a couple men walking towards you and your fire. One was relatively short with grey, stringy hair, while one was tall and slender, with only one eye, the other made of wood. You approached them until you were close enough and everyone stopped.
"Hello, miss. What are you doing here?" Asked the one with the wooden eye.
"First off, I'm a man. Second, my crew left me here," you replied, growing defensive of your gender.
"My apologies, sir, you just have a feminine face. That's all right, though. I'm Ragetti and this is Pintel," introduced the one-eyed man. "You can come aboard if you like."
"We don't even know him," Pintel quietly scolded.
"He's in need. Why not help him?" Ragetti replied.
"Fine," Pintel said, walking back towards the ship he'd arrived in.
You noticed the ship had black sails. Was it the Black Pearl? You'd heard the tales of it, but never knew wether to believe them or not. If they were true, you'd be me with Captain Jack Sparrow, or Captain Hector Barbossa, since he'd taken the ship from Sparrow.
You agreed to join Ragetti and Pintel on what seemed to be the Black Pearl. When you stepped foot on the deck, you got many strange looks. It was nothing new. Everyone was confused about your gender, so they would stare at you, trying to figure it out.
You turned your head to see a man. A very attractive man. He was carefully looking over you. His eyes stopped on a bruise on the side of your face. You couldn't help but stare for a moment, before realizing you should stop. You looked down, attempting to hide the bruise.
"He said his crew left him here," Ragetti informed the man. You supposed he was the captain. "His name's... Oh. What was your name, sir?"
"(Y/n)," you replied.
You looked back to the captain. You couldn't help yourself.
"Captain Jack Sparrow," the captain introduced himself, sticking his hand out for you to shake. "Pleasure."
You blushed just slightly at the thought of touching his hand. You held out your hand, grabbing his hand and shaking it lightly. He considered your hand, looking slightly puzzled. You brought your hand back to your side.
"I've heard about you. Lots about you," you said, hoping it didn't sound obscure.
"Of course you've heard of me. I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, after all," Jack said.
You smiled to yourself slightly.
"Now, would you like to be dropped at the nearest port, or would you like to join us?" Jack asked.
You were somewhat surprised by the offer. You looked around to notice there weren't that many people in his crew, and realized they could likely use some help. Why not join them? You had nothing to go back to.
"I'll join you, if that's all right," you said.
"Splendid," Jack said.
