PART TWO:
You squirmed in the hammock you were meant to sleep in. You were having immense trouble sleeping. You couldn't stop thinking of what had happened earlier that day.You finally gave up on sleep, and quietly creeped up to the upper deck. You were surprised when you saw a figure leaning against the hand railing. You could hardly see with how dark it was, but managed to come to the conclusion that it was the captain.
You accidentally lost balance slightly, causing you to stumble. Captain Sparrow turned to see you. You felt embarrassment engulf you.
"(Y/n)?" The Captain questioned.
"Uhm, yes," you replied.
"What are you doing here?" He questioned.
"Couldn't sleep," you replied.
"Come, come," he said, motioning for you to approach him.
You obliged, leaning against the hand railing next to the captain. You looked into the sea, watching it swirl around the ship. You were silent, unable to remove the images of your previous crew hitting you, screaming at you.
"You seem troubled," Captain Sparrow observed.
"Not at all," you replied, unconvincingly.
"You'll have to do better than that, mate. What is it?"
"Nothing. Just thinking, sir."
"You're a terrible lier. Spit it out," Jack said.
"I was just thinking about something that happened before I was left on that bloody island. It's not a big deal, sir," you replied.
"Doesn't seem to be that unimportant. How'd you get that?" Jack said, tapping the side of your cheek gently, referring to the bruise.
The fact that he touched your face flustered you slightly, but you contained it.
"Anyone ever told you that you're too curious?" You asked.
"You're curious as to if someone has told me I'm too curious about matters that you believe I shouldn't be curious about, that in actuality are things to be curious about? Curious," Jack said.
You were lost in his words.
"Uh... Okay," you said, clearly confused.
"Now, you were just about to tell me your story," Jack said.
"No, I wasn't," you replied.
"Well, how about we pretend that you were?" Jack said.
You considered telling him. He'd probably through you into the sea on the spot if he knew.
"How about a trade? Story for story, savvy?" Captain Sparrow proposed.
"All right, fine," you said, giving up. "I'm, well, different than most... The crew I was part of didn't like it and... They made sure I'd feel as much pain as they pleased..."
You spoke slowly, the event flashing in your memory.
"'Different,' you say," said Captain Sparrow. "In what way, mate?"
"Well, I'm... I'm not like most men... In fact, when I was born, I wasn't a man at all. I-I am now, though," you explained, fearful for your safety. "I know, you think I'm mad."
You looked to the side, away from the captain, waiting for the hurtful words.
"Actually, no, mate. I've known some like you, in fact," said Jack.
"Really?" You questioned.
You had thought you were the only one. You had started to believe the others who told you that you were insane.
"Aye," Captain Sparrow stated. "I have a sister like that, i'm fact."
"Really?" You asked, still shocked.
"Aye," Jack said with a nod.
There were a few moments of silence. You caught the captain looking at you, before averting his gaze quickly, as you did the same.
"So," Captain Sparrow started. "Who are you interested in? Girls?"
He paused.
"Men?" He added with a time that suggested he was implying something.
Possibly even flirting? No. Right?
"Men," you said with a small smirk that was hardly noticeable.
"Ah," Jack said, nodding in acknowledgment.
After a moment you gathered the courage to ask.
"And you?"
"A bit of both." (anybody get it? Loki nerds? no? ok i'll leave now..)
You nodded, slightly pleased that you at least had a chance. You didn't even know him, so you scolded yourself mentally for thinking such a thing. But, then again, how could you resist him? You told yourself mentally to stop and looked into the sea.
