Leaves Chapter 1

SO YOU ALL KNOW AZURA (main character) looks like young kaya scodelario) please read this is my main works at the moments xx Also note that this is not edited so I'm so sorry if I spelt things wrong, please comment if something doesn't make sense so I can go over it xx

My ears crackle at the sound of my stupid alarm clock. I groan and slap it off before I push my face into my pillow. I finally get up and dress for school. I put on my white jumper, a black skirt and and decide to put on laced tights.

Next I go into the bathroom and brush my teeth. Then I apply some eyeliner and spray my deodorant.

When I walk downstairs to eat something my 12 year old sister Alice is eating a slice of toast with jam on it. My mother is washing dishes and my father has left for work.

Now a days, my other sister Elora, who is 19 is studying in college to be a midwife.

"Good Morning Azura." My mother says politely

"Morning." I reply

"Are you hungry?" She asks

"No I'm good, I'll just have..." I stop.

She looks at me with a frown.

"You okay dear?" She speaks with concern in her voice.

"Yeah I'm fine mother, I'll just have an apple"

I reach over to the fruit bowl and grab an apple.

I use my other hand to carry my school bag over my shoulder.

"Well do you need lunch money?"

"Oh, yes please mum" I completely forgot about that.

She hands me my money and I thank her. I then leave the house saying goodbye and go to the bus stop.

When I reach the bus stop I see my best friend Daniel.

"Hey Daniel!" I shout over to him

"Oh hey Azura!"

We embrace and he tells me about his new teacher that he has.

The bus then came and me and Daniel took a seat.

We then got to school and walked down the corridor to our lockers.

I opened my locker to pick up my Literature book and my book for Latin, which my parents made me learn Latin.

I slam my locker shut and jump at the sight of Hunter behind my locker.

Hunter has dark hair and a British accent which just annoys me even more.

"What the hell!" I scream.

I see Daniel looking at him. I don't like Hunter, he only cares for himself and pretends that he cares about people but he doesn't.

"Are you guys going to the party tonight" He asks.

"I'm going with Daniel." I say and grin at him.
I haven't asked Daniel but it's better than saying no to this jerk.

He rolls his eyes and walks away, and that is just what I wanted him to do. Leave.

I turn to Daniel, trying to ask for forgiveness with the sympathetic look on my face.

But thankfully, he nods at me.

"That's okay."

My mouth starts to fumble towards the words

"Can you please come with me?" I manage to say.

"Fine" he scoffs

"But you owe me!" He says and points at me

I giggle and we both walk to literature.

I sit in my usual seat with Daniel behind me.

We talk about a book that I barley read and I don't listen to half the lesson.

When class ends I see my friend Gianna with Hunter beside her locker.

I storm over to them. I will not let her be manipulated by him.

I turn over his shoulder and he looks at me confused.

"Can you please stop!" I say harshly.

He just looks at me which makes me want to slap him even more than I already wanted to.

"We'll go!" And he does

I sigh.

"I am so sorry Gia"

"Nah it's okay Azi"

Gia was the only one that called me Azi.

"Ugh" I say realising what I did.

"I'm going to that stupid party tonight cause I told him i was going with Daniel"

"Oh" she says blankly.

"Oh" I mock her she laughs.

"Can you please come with us"

I look up at her.

"Please Gia." I plead

"Hm, i dunno" she says unsure.

"I'll give you a big packet of candy" I tease.

"No it's fine Azi I'll just come"

"Yes thank you,thank you, thank you!"

The rest of the day is a blur as I mostly just stare out the window and fiddle with my pencil.

At the end of the day I walk home with Gia and ask her to come home with me to help me with my outfit and she eventually accepts.

The bus dropped us off and we thought if what we could wear.

I told Gia I'd let her wear one of my things but she said that she would just go pick up her dress from her house and come back to mine.
