Truth Chapter 6

My dreams fast forwards to the part where I lifted the figure up into the air. How the hell did I do that? Is the thing still alive? So many questions. I am
Getting stressed out.

I finally wake and I feel normal. I'm at home and I'm normal.

Again my mother is sitting at my bed in my bedroom.

I roll over so I am no longer facing her.

"I'll only look at you if you tell me the truth." I moan at her.

"I was going to anyways." There is no crack in her voice just it's just smooth as it connects to my eardrums.

"What?" I roll back over so that I am looking directly into her eyes.

I examine my now no longer wounded body.

"Wow." I say but I suddenly get scared.

"Mum what's going on." I speak shakily.

"uh we are witches Azura."

"WHAT?" I say but find myself laughing.

I stop because my mum looks serious.

Is she?

"That's how you lifted that monster up into the sky."

"Yeah and I'm guessing that's a vampire." I laugh at myself but my mother nods at me.

"Mom?"

"I'll prove it to your Azura."

My mother picks up my canola candle from my bedside cabinet and lifts it into her palm.

I raise my eyebrows at her.

"Incendia." She says clearly.

The candle then caught a flame and so did all the other candles in the room.

"But how is that? What is that mom?"

What just happened?

"It's magic my darling. And you can do it too"

I find myself with my hands in-front of me blocking my mother's embrace.

"But Daniel, he didn't he?" Oh no.

My mother nods at me but she looks scared but then it changes to ashamed.

"How?" I try to fight my tears but one of them escape with my eyes fixed on the ground.

"Look at me." My mother's hands feel for my chin and she lift it up so I am looking into her green eyes.

"Now I want you to listen to me very closely Azura, do you understand me?"

I nod.

"Do you understand me?" She asked again with a louder tone.

"Yes." I say almost annoyed. My mother then let's go of my chin letting me go.

"Daniel was killed by a vampire."

"But" I start.

"Do not talk over me Azura"

I stay quiet.

"But the vampire must have fed Daniel his blood,
But when a human has vampire blood in there system if they die with it in there they become a vampire in transition. To complete the transition you must feed on a human."

"But why would Daniel feed on me?" I ask confused.

"Well when they are in transition they feel a constant hunger and Daniel obviously didn't know he was I transition and he craved human blood so when he smelt your blood he couldn't resist it, so we made him feed you his blood because vampire blood heals humans and wounds so your all better now."

"Well he's better now right?" I ask hopelessly.

"Vampires have to learn to control there hunger, as their emotions are heightened a lot more than humans." My mother replies.

"We need to help him mom we can't just leave him!"

"Azura I need to help you!" My mum calls after me as I begin to walk away.

"No mom." I refuse.

"Azura you are staying here with me." She grabs my wrists.

"Leave me alone mom!"

"Azura!"She exclaims in disbelief.

"I said leave me alone!" I yell and the book shelf's fall over along with the candles that catch fire to the carpets as they knock over.

I look around mortified as the windows are shattered and everything is on the floor with my mom trying to put the fire out.

"Azura stop!" She shouts at me.

Without hesitation I leave. I have to get some air form this place.
