I practically leap onto the bus and Daniel follows close behind.

I quickly pay the bus driver who has a buzz cut.

I sit at the back of the bus with my ticket. Daniel sits next to me and our hands meet and he places both on my left knee. Im surprised when I look at it to see a purple bruise. I wonder what an earth happened to me due to the fact I've been blacking out recently.

To my relief the bus starts and I let out a sigh.

"I'm not ready to talk or get yet." I tell Daniel looking down at my feet.

"I know." He says and give my hand a light squeeze.

I check my phone to see a ton of messages from Gia of her asking about my absence. I decide to answer her thoughts to make sure she isn't worrying.

*sorry not feeling the best lately, I'll be in school tomorrow."

I put my phone into my jacket pocket.

"What was that?" Daniel asks in a worrying ton."

"Oh no it's not my mother it's just Gia." I reassure him.

"Oh, what does she want?" He asks.

"Well she's just making sure I'm okay." I say.

"Alright." He speaks.

"So are you coming to school tomorrow." I ask casually.

"Not sure." He says and turn his eye contact away from me."

"Aw, that's a shame guess you'll have to get your blood late." I tease.

"Fine." He huffs

I think of whether I should go home tonight but I decide to ask Gia if I can come over and she says it's okay. She tells me that she'll let me have her clothes for a day only because I told her that I got on a fight with my mother and didn't wanna talk about it. But I made a deal with her to speak to her about it.

It takes us about 20 minutes to get home and when we do I have about 10 missed calls from my mother.

I decide to walk home with Daniel considering he has to spend the night with his mother and I want her to make sure that's he's okay. Daniel doesn't live too far away so we get there quite quickly.

Thankfully Daniels mother is relived to see her son and she thanks me for returning him home safely. I give Daniel a smile as I leave.

When I look at my watch it is 21:09pm. I try to hurry to Gia's hoping that I'm not to late.

I arrive there in about 15 minutes and the give me a warm welcome which cheers up my mood.

As we get to Gia's room she has a bunch of questions to ask me but I mostly lie to her and feel bad.

"So do you wanna talk about your gibt with your mum?" She asks me rubbing my arm.

"No not really she can just be real rude for what she thinks is best for me, but I think I'm old enough to decide don't you think so?" I tell her.

"Yep definitely." She says confidently.

"Can we pleased talk about something else?" I beg her.

"Sure!" She says.

We spend most of night speaking of our teachers from school and Gia tells me about the drama after I left the party and how Katy was wasted and embarrassed herself.

We fall asleep at about 1am and the last thing I remember is her telling me about someone spilling soda on her.

I wake up to my alarm at 6:30am and wash my hard in Gia's ensuit and dry it for 7:00am when Gia wakes to the sound of her hair dryer.

"Ugh" Gia groans and buried her face in her pillow.

"Wake up sleepy head." I say.

About 10 minutes later I force her to wake up so she can hand me some clothes for the day.

When she's done with that she curled her hair and I borrow her straighteners.

We are ready by 8:00 and we decide to get a cup of coffee at the corner cafe.

When we get there she orders up a frappe-chino and we sit for an hour talking about our future and subjects for college next year.

Since school is pretty far we decide to walk there and are there by 9:30am.

I apologise for getting her up early but she says it's fine.

At 9:40am I see Daniel walking over.

"Look there's Daniel!" I tell Gia.

"Oh yeah let's go see how he's doing."

We walk over to him and make small conversation until school starts.

My first class is science with Mr Henry and I'm glad as it's one of my favourite subjects.

In the class it sit in the second row with Gia one seat in front of me and Daniel sits one seat away in the second floor.

I sir down and giggle at something Gia told me that she saw at night.

When we wait for Mr Henry a man walks in. He is wearing a brown shirt with a brown shirt. He has black glasses and black trousers. His pale skin reflects across the windows and his brown hair is in ruffles. Somehow I know that Mr Henry won't be returning.
