Fall With Me

Gone. Chapter 4

I literally don't know what to do. I'm just standing still but I feel as if my heart is ready to burst out my chest.

Wait. What?

I'm now running towards the screams.

I can hear Daniel crying out for life and I'm surprised when I hear him call

"AZURA!"

Oh no.

I can't let him down. If I do I will be ashamed of myself.

What am I gonna do.

I find myself looking at the same man in the black hoodie hunched over Daniel.

I gasp loudly.

I feel paralysed.

The figure turns round at me and it has blood splashed on its mouth with two long growing fangs.

I scream. Too loud. I can almost feel my own ear drums bursting.

My scream travels to the creature and it falls backwards into the night sky.

It flew far. Really far.

I hurry to Daniel.

"Daniel!" I shout.

"Somebody help me!"

Of course nobody would be able to hear me over the blasting music.

I suddenly feel a pang of guilt as Daniel must have seen me leave and was looking for me.

I scan his wounded body to see that there is blood pooling from his neck.

Bite marks? How is all of this possible. My mind races with confusion then anger. Although I next find myself crying very hard.

"Daniel..." I say hopelessly.

As I continue to pump his chest which isn't helping as I failed at CPR.

I feel for my phone over my back pocket to call an ambulance.

Oh god.

"Damn it!" I cry.

"Help me please!" I sob.

I place my hands on his chest and bury my head into it.

Daniels heart is slowing. He's loosing a lot of blood.

I try to tip his head back incase he swallowed his tongue but it's no use.

As I keep trying, nothing.

"No!" "Please!"

"Daniel please wake up please."

I scream again into the sky

"Please don't be gone."

His heart is stopped.

His body is stiff.

He is gone.

The next thing I remember is falling backwards and looking to the night sky as the starts twinkled above me.

When I wake I gasp.

I'm surprised to see my mother sitting in a hospital chair.

"M-mum where am i?"

She is about to answer me but I speak again.

"Where Daniel!?" I shout at her.

"Shh keep your voice down Azura."

I don't listen.

"Where is he!?" I say ever louder.

"What are you talking about he's fine?"

"But i saw him on the ground?" I say sounding crazy.

"But mom his heart stopped!"

"No Azura it must have been a dream. Now stop this your injured!"

What? Im injured?

I look down at my leg that is covered up.

"W-what happened to me?" I ask harshly.

"They doctors said it must have been a mountain lion." She tells me calmly.

"A mountain lion!!

I am about so curse at her from what I saw before Daniel walks in smiling at me.
