"Got a point." I shrug.
Elora gazes into the distance for a moment.
"How'd you learn?" I ask.
"Somebody taught me." She says bending down to pick at the grass. Right won't bring that up.
"Let's start now." She says blowing the grass into the wind.
I see her walking over to flowers and plants. She picks up what must be fern.
"Fern." She says holding it out to me. "It represents magic, enchantment." She smiles.
"How is that gonna help?" I scrunch up my face.
"It helps you feel connection to your power." She explains and moves over to more of the interesting plants.
"This one." She picks up a daffodil.
"What does this one represent?" I question her.
"New beginnings, rebirth." She replies.
I stare at it's beautiful white petals so innocent. I begin to pick them off and there gone quickly.
"There, now i can't start new."'I say tossing it behind me.
"Anger." She holds out a violet petunia.
"I thought it meant desire and hope?"
"Nope, anger." She replies and scrunches it up with her fingers.
She turns to look for more flowers and it looks like she's just been stabbed.
"What's wrong?" I ask catching her.
She points her index finger to a deep red flower with black at the eye of the flower.
"Black Dahlia." She says getting up.
"What?"
"They represent betrayal and dishonesty." She replies.
"So?" I'm so confused.
"In this word, they mean something bad and big is coming."
"Let me fix that." I scoff.
I trample through the glorious flowers and stand on the black dahlia and throw it as far as I can.
"Doesn't matter now even if you kill it." He chuckles lightly.
"Best get you trained then." She pats me on the head.
"Still got that fern?"
"Oh yeah." I bend down and pick it off the ground.
"Right give me the tips of your fingers." She orders.
I let her take them and she puts them on the tips of the fern.
"Concentrate on the tips and the connection of your blood flowing." She tells me.
I close my eyes and concentrate.
"Feel the energy break free."
I feel Elora let got of my finger tips and I breath steadily.
I feel the tips connecting to the leaves and it's little zings but it's comforting. I feel the energy leash into my body and I startled back.
"How was it?" She smiles.
"It was, it was..." I'm not sure what to say.
"It feels so much better when you embrace the moment doesn't it?" She asks me taking me hands.
"Yeah I feel amazing." I tell her. I've not felt like this a while. I feel lively again. Like I do matter.
"Right, since you done this quickly you're ready for this first step." She announces like I won a Nobel
Prize.
