Ch.4 Does he love me back?

I start to get ready for my "meeting," I guess that you could call it that, with Peeta. That's when I start to think. We all know that it can be dangerous when I start to think.

What if Peeta doesn't even like me anymore. Let alone love me! I start to hyperventilate. How am I going to cope with him not being with me? All that I know is that I need to just enjoy that he is here with me now. Even if it is just as a friend.

I am wearing a sunset orange crop top and white shorts. It is summer after all. ( I don't quite remember when the rebellion ended so let's just say that it was 8 and a half months before summer. K? K.) I get all of my things together and lol in the mirror. I harbor even seen myself since before the rebellion. I look hideous. I have my 16 year old form back because I haven't been eating, I have bags under my eyes because of the nightmares that keep me up all night, and I have scars everywhere.

Wow, I don't know what Peeta ever saw in me. I am not even pretty. He tells me that I am beautiful. Was he just lying to me to make me feel better?

Anyway, my hair is just how it was when Peeta first ever laid his beautiful, ocean blue eyes on me. I have two braids instead of one and it doesn't look that bad, if I do say so myself.

I walk over to Peeta's house and knock on the door. I hear a voice from the inside saying, "Come in, it's open."

I walk inside and am immediately hit with the best smells ever. It smells of cheese buns, lamb stew with dried plums, and, wait, is that, oh it is, chocolate!!!

I can't even believe that he did this. This was just too much.
"It smells great in here Peeta!" I tell him.
"Thanks! I was hoping that you would like it. I made your favorite, cheese buns, lamb stew with fried plums, and added a little something special to it. Can you guess what it is?"
"Well, I think that it is CHOCOLATE!"
"Well Miss Everdeen, you are correct!"

I do a jump if joy when he says this. he just looks at me and laughs.
"I think it looks like some bit is happy today."
"Are you kidding me Peeta, this is the happiest u have been since my dad was alive! Do you want to know the reason that I am so happy?"
"I think that it is because you will get good food right now."

He Says this as he sets down a plate in front of me.

"No silly, he reason that I happy is because you are here."

As I finished saying his the unexpected happens.

He leans in to kiss me! Of course I kiss back and this takes him aback a little but he is then happy. I think I know my answer to if he lives me back or not!

I think the feels were here when I was writing his chapter! The suspense of the space in between the unexpected and what happened really was hard for me to do! I just wanted to write it because it felt right. I was going to wait a few more chapters, but things all happen for a reason is what I am told. Well goodbye until next time, yours truely, ME!
