Chapter seox

''Namjoon, where are you going?!'' Jin shouts at his husband, who is hastily making his way to the front door, the guards standing at the gates confused as to what has made their king panic like that.

''I am going to find Yoongi and Jimin, don't you see that?'' 

''Yes, but-'' 

''No buts, I am going.'' Namjoon responds firmly. 

''Please, Namjoon, it's not safe, what if-'' Namjoon turns around and approaches Jin. ''Nothing will happen to me, I promise.'' 

''That's exactly what you said back then.'' Jin mumbles.

''And I kept it, right?'' Namjoon cups his husband's cheeks, wiping the falling tears on Jin's face with his thumbs. ''I don't want to lose you.'' Jin whispers, his lips trembling in fear. ''You won't. Have faith in me, love.'' The king pushes Jin's head a little down, stroking the few hanging strands of hear away before planting a long kiss on his forehead.

Jin looks up, fear still present in his eyes. ''I have faith in you, my love, I believe in you like no one else, but you know this better than me, you know how dangerous he really is.'' 

Namjoon looks up, his gaze averting to the stumbling guard who not so long ago had ran into their dining room to warn his kings, who was now severely injured, but still was ready to fight for them and their people.

''This may be dangerous,'' Namjoon speaks, looking straight into Jin's eyes. '' but I am their king and it is my duty to protect my kingdom and my people.'' 

''And who is going to protect you?'' Jin asks, holding onto his husband's arms as his life depends on it. Namjoon just looks at Jin, no response coming out of his mouth. 

He then looks away and frees his arm from Jin's grip. ''That's what I thought.'' Jin exclaims, crossing his arms. 

''I really don't have time for this Jin, I have to find Yoongi and Jimin, I need to know if they are safe.'' Namjoon says, the words coming somewhat harsher out of his mouth then he wanted to. Jin only sighs before he approaches his husband again. 

In a situation like this he knows it's not smart to start an argument. 

''Be safe.'' Jin speaks, giving a soft squeeze in Namjoon's shoulder before letting him go. 

''I love you.'' Namjoon says at last, before he exits the castle with a couple of guards. 

''I am coming with you.'' Jungkook insists, already making its way to the gates . ''I can't even stop you, so let's go.'' Namjoon speaks, gesturing the boy to follow him alongside the other guards, leaving Jin and Taehyung alone.

''Jin, don't worry, King Namjoon is a strong and wise man, he will come back safe and sound.'' Taehyung assures Jin, resting his hand on Jin's left shoulder to ensure that the king isn't alone.

''I know.'' Jin mumbles under his breath, placing his right hand on top of Taehyung's, softly squeezing into the hand, to ensure Taehyung he knows he is not alone.

''I am just scared about what has to come.'' Jin breathes out, while he tries to suppress his emotions. 

''What do you mean?'' Taehyung asks, confusion and fear written on his face, when he sees how his king is starting to tear up. 

''This is just the beginning.''
