When Jimin wakes up he isn't laying on the hard ground anymore, instead he feels the soft fabric of his mattress under his touch. The familiarity easing his nerves as he wonders how he ended up in here. To his surprise it was still dark, maybe a little too dark for his like. Not even the illuminating of one candle present in his room, but he didn't thought about it for too long, the exhaustion was still present in his body, making even a simple task of lifting an arm extremely difficult. Jimin sighs, Maybe it's still night. He thinks, rubbing his eyes and blinking them open to adjust to the dark, staring at the ceiling for a couple of minutes, while trying to recall past events.
What happened?
Everything was a blur and he wasn't quite sure what happened to him, he only knew he felt an indescribable pain in his chest before he collapsed and everything went black. He still can feel the impact of it, the pain in his head serving as evidence of his fall.
''Think Jimin, think.'' He mumbles, tossing and turning in his bed in an attempt to shake his mind awake. Then it sank in; the heat, the pain and at last the darkness that engulfed his vision. Jimin tries to figure out what exactly happened, maybe he ate something bad, maybe he was too stressed? But why?
He was confused and while trying to relive the pain again, to remember how it felt and why it triggered something in his mind as if he had felt something like this before, he shut his eyes painfully close, squeezing them as he thought it would make him focus better. Focus Jimin, focus. This is important, so please focus. It's on the tip of his tongue, really, but for some reason he just can't name it. Frustrated, Jimin places his hands flat on his face, kicking his legs under the sheets in annoyance.
Suddenly and without a warning, he felt it again; the same sharp pain inflicting in his chest, as if someone pushed the sharpest blades they could find in him, piercing its way through flesh and bone to reach his heart. He could feel it all, the blood rushing to his head, the heat infiltrating his veins and shooting through them so fiercely, Jimin was afraid they would burn it all, that he would burn alive.
He kept his eyes shut, the burning sensation bringing tears to his eyes, droplets of water escaping his closed eyelids and gliding down his face and the edges of his mouth. Jimin could even taste the saltiness of them.
While his eyes brimmed with tears, he arches his back due to a throbbing pain that inflicts his nervous system, the agony not even getting a bit less as it rushes along his spinal cord. Frightened by the never ending pain, he grabs the sheets firmly with his hands, while his back continues to arch painfully upwards, his body coming in such a position, Jimin didn't even know it was possible.
The inability to scream, made the aching pain bring more tears in Jimin's eyes. Not a single word was able to escape his parted lips, as it felt like the fire burned his throat shut. Yoongi. He screamed in his head, wanting nothing more than for his husband to hold him now and kiss his pain away.Yoongi. Jimin knew it was impossible, but still he hoped with every burning fibre in his body that his husband would hear his silent screams.
Jimin couldn't even move, every muscle tensed up by every attempt to do so, the pressure on his chest making him feel breathless, while every part of his body continued to scream in pain. Jimin couldn't do anything, numbness spreading over his whole body, making the man feel the helplessness he hasn't felt in a long time.
Once more it strikes again. A second push of what feels like another blade in his heart, making Jimin gasp for air in such a way, it made his upper body arch upwards again, as far as it could go, his hands still clutching tightly at the sheets, afraid of letting them go and as if the existing heat in his body was not tormenting him enough, his whole body flared up all over again, but then ten times stronger. The pain unbearable at this point that he couldn't restrain his eyes from snapping open in soreness.
