Third person's pov

They haven't even been out of the office for an hour and yet, Jimin is still moody and on his phone literally every second. Inspector Choi has had enough of Jimin's heartbroken phase, she did not drag her ass and his ass out of the office building under Mr. Bang's orders, just to silently deal with his love problems.

At least, that is not what she signed up for when she agreed to bring Jimin to a coffee shop to get his thoughts clear.

Seems like the latter did not get the hint.

"Would you mind leaving the phone for just 30 seconds, Park?! I didn't drag your ungrateful existence all the way here without at least a decent appreciation." Inspector Choi snapped and sighs while taking a sip of her iced brew coffee.

"Thanks then..."

"For what?!"

"Urm... this?"

Inspector Choi mentally facepalmed and smacks Jimin head front when he raised his coffee cup. This boy is obviously clueless. She thought to herself.

"Yah! Don't think I'm treating you off for free or something. Tsk, you don't even know why you're here in the first place, don't you?!" Inspector Choi said and Jimin glances around to only now realize that he is in a coffee shop, and it is nowhere near the agency.

"Thought so." Inspector Choi snorted, watching Jimin scratch his neck.

"I'm sorry... its just, I'm worried about Kyung Mi. It's been days since I have last seen her and nothing seems to go through her cellphone." Jimin explains while facing his phone, staring at the unread messages he sent.

"Is everything alright with her? I hope she's okay and all." Jimin heard another sigh from Inspector Choi's lips. He doesn't know whether she is getting annoyed with his constant overthinking or just genuinely worrying about Kyung Mi with him.

"I know you're worried about her Jimin. But you need to get a grip on yourself. The gala night is this weekend and don't forget, you ARE in charge of the guard duty team that night." Jimin frowned.

"Why am I suddenly on guard duty while the others get to enjoy the gala night?! I'm planning to bring Kyung Mi to the event as well so I can't-"

"Listen to me, Agent Park." Inspector Choi interrupted as she said in her serious tone, causing Jimin to lean closer towards her and listen to what she has to say.

"Intern Song Kyung Mi... is forbidden to attend the gala night." Jimin's eyes widened at the sudden news. Yes, she skipped work for almost a week without informing and no one knows how she's doing or even where is she.

But forbidding a coworker from attending the agency's event is straight off not reasonable at all.

"I know you have tons of questions to bombard me about this sudden arrangement but before you get to it, please hear what I have to say..." Inspector Choi raised her hand.

"As you can tell, Intern- no, Kyung Mi has been absent for the past few days without any letter. We can barely get a hold of her contact or whereabouts so it's been concluded that we halt all of her task work until further notice..."

"But why forbidding her from the gala night?! That makes no sense?!" Jimin questions with eyes full of anxiousness. He feels like he is being left out with something during his trance phase.

Which he did but now is not the ideal mic drop moment.

"This gala night is a rather private event for only members of the SIA. If word got out that the agency is holding such an event, who knows what kind of criminals might take this opportunity to infiltrate the agency." Inspector Choi explains but Jimin yet again interrupted her abruptly.
