Maddie's POV

I wake up to the sound of Emma and Proxy's voices.

"What's going on?"

"Emma brought you a change of clothes. And you get to leave the hospital today."

GREAT! This hospital food SUCKS, and they have the cheap channels.

"I have to go, Diego call me later?"

"Yeah."

Emma leaves and Proxy walks towards me.

"What was that about?"

"Nothing."

I was not in the mood, but I'll get it out of him.

"You stayed the night with me?"

"Of course. Your my girlfr..."

"I'm your girlfriend?"

"Are you?"

"Yes, I am."

"You forgive me?"

"I realized that I'm not mad at you. I'm jealous of Mia and your relationship. You guys have a lot in common, what if you dump me again?"

"I would never. Not again."

I smile and pat the spot on the bed, next to me. Proxy smiles and walks over and sits.

"Hey, remember at the 7, you were going to tell me something? What was it?"
Okay, I thought, this is it. I look away from those big, brown eyes.

"I l..."

"MADDIE-WINKY! Mommy's here!"

My mom walks in the room.

GASP! GASP! GASP! GASP!

My mom looks from me to Proxy.

"What's going on here?"

Proxy jumps off the bed.

"Nothing, I was just going to get some coffee. Maddie, want something?"

"No thanks."

Proxy walks out of the room. DANG, every time I get ready to tell him, we're always interrupted.

Diego's POV

I'm walking to the Café at the hospital and I am completely lost. I text Maddie.

Diego: Where is the Café?

Maddie: My mom's gone. U can come back now.

Diego: I would, but I'm lost.

Maddie: Where r u?

Diego: By the fish tank on the third floor.

Maddie: Stay there, I'm coming.

Diego: Okay.

I turn my phone off and look at the fish. Maddie comes up behind me and wraps her arms around my waist.

"BOO!"

"You scared me."

"I know. You ready to go?"

"Your done, already?"

"While you were wandering around the hospital, I was getting discharged."

"So we're good to go?"

"Yeah."

Maddie smiles. Her smile is so BEAUTIFUL, it's like the stars, bright and cheery. I lean in towards her and kiss her. I pull away, but Maddie wraps her arms around me and kisses me more passionately. The kiss felt like forever, but when Maddie finally pulled away, she smiled and intertwined her hand in mine.

"Let's go home."

"O-O-O-O-kay."

We walk out of the hospital, hand in hand.
