The floor is completely messy. There are a lot of things scattered on it. The three enjoyed playing Gonu (it's like a board game or Korean chess) and Gonggi (can refer to the western game called 'jacks'). The bond between them became stronger as they get to know each other. But Yerin is still quiet about her life. She only said few things about herself but the good thing is, she got to know them more. She only knew them in the novel but now, she knew their point of view (personally). It's somehow fulfilling for her to know the personalities of the character in her favorite novel. It's good to see them in person, at least she didn't have to imagine their faces.
Even though she doesn't know those games that they have played, she enjoyed playing them with the help of Eunbi. She enjoyed everything because of their warm approach.
On the round wooden table, Sojung hung her head low with her closed eyes. And then the next thing they knew, Sojung already fell asleep on it.
Yerin tilted her head to see Sojung's face, "Sojung fell asleep. Aigoo! We still have one game!"
"You enjoyed the game?" Eunbi asked that made Yerin looked at her. Her aura today is quite different from her usual expression. Her cold eyes aren't showing up. She has this warm look making Yerin experienced a tingling sensation. She suddenly remembers the Hwang Eunbi in the novel.
"Yeah, kinda. But Sojung fell asleep, how can we continue the game?" She's playing with the grape-sized pebbles that they used in playing Gonggi on her hand while pouting.
"Let her sleep, she needs rest. I knew her situation right now. She was tired because she's the one who's taking care of her sister who got attacked by those dangerous men, at least she didn't feel tired earlier because she also enjoyed."
"Oh, right. I feel bad for her sister."
Then, there's a sudden silence, only the sound of the crickets outside can be heard. Sojung prolly now in the dreamland and felt delighted about the sight of it. While the two are just sitting there quietly, facing each other, and wanted to feel the moment.
"Uh, I wanna apologize for what I said before," Yerin broke the silence and stoop. She thought that this is the best thing to do right now. Eunbi didn't know anything about the flow of the story. Eunbi didn't know that the girl in front of her came from the real world who just dreamed to be with her. Sometimes, it's not good to precede the situation.
"I already said that I should be the one who needs to apologize. Because of me, you got stabbed by some random man. I......don't know what to do anymore if something happens to you again." The words from Eunbi comforts her. She sounded so apologetic and she can feel her care. All of the feelings she felt for her came back as fast as laser beams that travel at the speed of light, more than 670 million miles per hour.
"I knew it, you really care for me but you always denied it," Yerin can't stop smiling. She thought that it feels great to tease Eunbi a little bit.
"Why did you say that though?"
Yerin left her speechless. No words escape from her mouth. Of course, she can't say that she already knew their lives.
"Uh......"
"You know, if that's some kind of defamation, please don't ever do that again."
"No, it's not like that. I'm sorry if I said those words to Yewon and Younghoon."
Yerin can't say the truth. She wanted to tell it, she wanted to reveal it. But she should muster a lot of courage to speak up. It's just that she's courageous enough to say those things that day.
