I'll Be Waiting For You

The next day, Yerin, Eunbi, and Yewon gathered together and decided to talk about what happened. At a round table, the three are facing each other, feeling the tension between them.

"Why?" The only word that came out from Yewon's mouth. Her swelling eyes will tell how she cried the whole night and how she was hurt by what Eunbi did.

"I-I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Yewon." Eunbi mumbled guiltily as she glanced at her uncomfortably. She gave her a shamefaced expression as she caught in the act. "I tried to resist. I keep on pushing her away. But it's hard." She glimpsed at Yerin who's still in shock and can't move for a while.

"Then what about me? What about the memories we made?!" Tears seem like would fall from her face any minute from now. She faced Eunbi and looked directly at her eyes. "Did you really love me?!" Her voice cracked as her tears began to pour. "Or I'm just living in my desired world thinking that you reciprocated my feelings?!"

Eunbi stoop, she's out of words.

"What?! Answer me! Did you even love me, Eunbi?!" She's holding herself but she can't fight her emotions.

Eunbi looked at her. The known cold girl with cold eyes is now showing her vulnerable side and remorseful eyes. "Y-yes but... I... I only see you as my little sister."

Yewon suddenly looked away, still in tears. Hearing those words from Eunbi hurts her more. She loves her so much. She can't bear the thought of being detached from her. She clenched her fist under the table and the molten anger rolled through her.

"Then why did you agree to be my girlfriend?!" She asked with a raucous voice due to sobbing. "Why did you do that knowing that you only see me as a sister?! Why did you do that in the first place knowing that you'll hurt me?! Why?! Out of sympathy?!"

Eunbi barely nods. "Back when we're still kids, I saw how terrible you were. You witnessed how your parents died because of Helios. When I saw you, I told myself that I want to protect you, that I want to bring happiness to you, and I want to comfort you. I did everything to get close to you and it went well." She paused for a while and tried to catch Yewon's eyes who's still looking away from her.

"I'm not expecting that you'd fall for me. So, when you confessed to me, I agreed to be your girlfriend because I see you as someone who needs to be protected and treasured. And yes, out of sympathy. I don't want to see you hurt that's why I did everything to keep you happy. By being your girlfriend, I was able to do that like what other unnies do. But believe me when I say that I love you but... not as a lover. And now, I feel sorry for only loving you as my little sister. I... I tried many times to fall for you but I just can't. I tried to muster a lot of courage to tell it to you. But even the bravest soul weakens, right?"

Yewon wiped her tears, "But still, you should've told the truth. My heart will be forever in pain, didn't you think of that?! I loved you with all of my heart, my soul, and my body. If you really care for me, you should've told me so that I'm not hoping and hurting  like this!" Her words shoot Eunbi, there's no way she'll ward off.

Yewon turned to Yerin who's watching them silently. "And you, how dare you took her from me?! Do you also like her?!"

Yerin suddenly stoops and guilt is written all over her face. She knew that she was at fault, she wants to be Eunbi's. But seeing Yewon like this makes her feel tragic. She wants Eunbi to fall for her but now, she regrets it.
