I'll Be Waiting For You

Yerin opened her eyes while her head throbs. It's a typical morning for her but seems like it isn't as she remembers something.

"Eunbi, we're making som---" Yewon's jaw almost drop and she couldn't finish what she's about to say when she came back to the room and the sight of Eunbi and Yerin staring at each other with their faces that are only inches away from each other surprised her.

The two shockingly turned to Yewon and both distanced themselves. There's a hint of disgrace in Eunbi's face, trying to look at Yewon with a coaxing expression.

"How could you do this to me?"

Eunbi stood up and went closer to Yewon, "I-it's not what you think." She's stuttering, an indication that she's completely embarrassed.

Yerin silently feels the situation, feeling uneasy. She can see the wrath in Yewon's eyes. This is what she wants but somehow, she's just as culpable upon seeing Yewon hurt like this. Even if she wants Eunbi to fall for her, she feels a little guilt by hurting Yewon.

"Then, what are you doing?" Yewon scowled at Yerin then turned back at Eunbi with a piercing look. This young girl is sure a fearsome one when someone made her mad. Everyone agrees and sees her as a sweet and smart person. Well, of course, if she's only with Eunbi because she really likes her that much.

She feels like Yerin is taking away Younghoon from her and now it's Eunbi. She will never let that happen because Eunbi is hers.

Eunbi didn't answer, instead, she looked at Yerin who's now worried about the possible happenings. Both are now uncomfortable and engulfed by their concocted emotions.

"What's the meaning of that? Don't tell me you're cheating with me, Eunbi?"

In the first place, she will never cheat because she only sees Yewon as a little sister. But she's also hurt knowing that she hurts someone who is loving her wholeheartedly. She doesn't like it.

"Uh, Yewon, there's nothing to worry about. I just removed the dirt in Eunbi's face, that's it." Yerin excused that made Eunbi looked at her in disbelief. It's making her uncomfortable to say something like this, knowing that Yewon will never believe whatever she says. Yewon doubted her, as expected. So Eunbi needed to agree to it to justify Yerin's excuse. And that ends the tension between them. 

When she got out of her room, she saw a piece of paper (Hanji) on the floor near the kitchen so she immediately went to it and grabbed it. She unfolded the paper and read aloud what's written on it.

"30 LIVES LATER AT MIDNIGHT. Huh? What's this?" She even looked at the back of the paper to see any hints about the meaning of what's written on it but she couldn't find any. There's no scratch on it, there are no other words, just a clean paper with 30 LIVES LATER AT MIDNIGHT.

All of a sudden, Yerin's eyes widened. Her eyebrows suddenly raised while her mouth is hanging open loosely. She realized that this letter might be Helios'. And the fact that she saw this here in Younghoon's place, aroused the possibility that he is really that BAD GUY who just got an order from Helios to kill 30 people later at midnight. Her heart suddenly beats fast.

Vertical wrinkles appeared between her eyebrows and her mouth stretched and drawn back. "Omg!" She covered her mouth upon thinking about it. "How stupid of them to leave it here knowing that I might see it. Eunbi should know about this."

She quickly fixed herself and prepare to escape. But she noticed that she's the only one in this house making it easy for her to went outside. She's wondering if they are at Helios' base right now.

A loud knock on the door is what she did when she arrived at Eunbi's house, but she's not responding. She slammed the door, desperate enough to tell what she found out and the door creaked open. Her eyes looked for Eunbi when she stepped inside but there's no Eunbi.

"Eunbi?" She's still catching her breath due to constant running rapidly. Eunbi should know about that as soon as possible. The attack is later at midnight, she needs to help her, she needs to take action now.

She went to her room but she's not there. She searched the whole area, still, Eunbi isn't around.

But suddenly, she almost stepped backward when she saw a drop of blood near the back door. It's not dry, an indication that someone was here earlier. Yerin is fretted and worried that this blood might be Eunbi's.

"Eunbi?! Where are you, Eunbi?!" Her heart is beating fast, she feels anxious for the thoughts wavering in her head. 

She abruptly ran towards the door to look for Eunbi outside but she saw Sojung running nearby. She peered into her, she can't see her clearly but she's certain that it's Sojung and she's running with a guy. What's happening?

Yerin followed them and ran rapidly. They turned into a closely compacted area. There are people who got surprised by the running in their area, some are still doing their things but got interrupted by them.

All of a sudden, Yerin stepped on the wood and slumped on the ground. The wood has a rough, sharp point in it that made Yerin's left knee bleed. "Ouch!" She almost cries because of it and because of the blood flowing from her knee. Feels like her knee suddenly got paralyzed and can't move.

But she needed to move quickly when she noticed a guy running in her direction, holding something sharp. "Oh gosh!" She forced herself to move and stand up even though her wound is getting bigger and keeps on bleeding. From this point, she wants to stay away from that harmful man. She doesn't want to get hurt again. Her eyes can't spot Sojung, she wasn't able to follow her but it's fine as long as she escapes from that man. She's now covered by fear and nervousness.

"Ahhhhhhh!" The man behind her screamed, making her turned at him and her heart pounds like a drum in her chest when the man almost grabbed the strand of her hair. "Waaaaaah!!!" There's a small drop of tears dripping on her face and she can't hold the tension she's feeling right now. Good thing she became alert, she suddenly hopped and ran hastily.

She turned around to look at the man who's running after her and noticed that she ran with a larger distance as she's far away from that man. When she turned her way, she bumped into someone. She was about to step backward but she noticed her familiar shoes when she looked up, she saw Eunbi with a worried face. Eunbi saw her tears and Yerin abruptly hugged her upon seeing her. She cried and buried her face in Eunbi's chest.

"Sshh. I'm here now, you're safe."
