"Does it still hurt?" Eunbi shot a sideward glance at Yerin as she put the herbals in Yerin's wound.
"A lil bit," she answered while averting her eyes from her. Isn't it ironic that she can't feel the pain in her wound because all she can feel right now is the wound in her heart? Well, it is really hard to hope for nothing.
"Get up, I'll make you some kimchi jjigae." Eunbi stood up and went to the kitchen.
"Do you know how to make kimchi?" Yerin blurted out, fondling the herbals in her wound.
"Of course, I live alone," Eunbi shouted from the kitchen.
Soon as the dish is ready, they eat together. The kimchi that Eunbi made is not that bad. The dish is good already for her and besides, she doesn't care if what would be the taste of what she made as long as she can eat it because she's living alone. She used to be contented with what she has. Yerin didn't mind about the taste because Eunbi made this for her. She suddenly remembers when she also cooked kimchi jjigae for her, the day when she sent her away that leads her to know Younghoon.
The two didn't talk that much while eating. Eunbi is not used to it because she knew Yerin would start blabbering around. She would start talking playfully with her but the amount of sadness and guilt she felt aroused when Yerin didn't even let out a single word.
"Are you mad at me for not believing you?" She looked at her with a blank face.
Yerin paused for a while but she didn't stop munching. The jeotgarak (Korean chopsticks) left hanging.
Minutes have passed, Yerin didn't look at her and continued eating. The sound of the sujeo (eating utensils) is the only sound that chiming in the room.
"Aren't you gonna talk to me?" Eunbi asked her again and this time, Yerin looked at her.
"Why? Do you find it strange? This is actually what you want, right? I'm just being a nice person by not being a talkative and annoying brat." She returned her eyes to the food and continued eating it. Eunbi can't help but feel a little pain in her heart.

Younghoon is heading back to their house when suddenly, he stepped on something. When he looked at it, he saw a piece of paper. He quickly took it as he saw its familiar written words.
30 LIVES LATER AT MIDNIGHT
"Damn! Who left it here?!" He roams around, looked tensed and troubled. Good thing that there's no one around. He pocketed it and almost ran towards their house while murmuring, "Damn it, who took this paper and left it outside? Damn! It'll be huge trouble!" He can't stop cursing as soon as he arrived at their house.
He went directly to Yewon's room and saw her writing a poem. Yewon turned to him, "Oh, Orabeoni, you're here. I actually just arriv---"
She almost freaked out when Younghoon grasped her wrist and pinned her to the wall. He gave her a penetrating look that made Yewon frightened.
"Did you saw this and bring it outside?" He showed her the piece of paper, raw anger shot through him.
"W-what are you talking about, orabeoni? Yes, I saw it but I didn't bring it outside," she's resisting his firm hold of her wrist, she noticed how it turned red because of his grasp.
