I'll Be Waiting For You

|Twenty-eight|CONFESSION

After the training, Eunbi decided to go home already. It was a great day as she learned something new and got a chance again to have a bond with Master Dasuki.

The sky is now covered by darkness and the stars are showing.

'Perhaps Yerin is waiting for me.'

She chuckled at the thought of her. Everytime she goes home, Yerin always welcomes her with a bright smile and hugs her. Even the food is ready when she gets back. She always thinks if what did she do to have Yerin by her side who always takes care of her. Eunbi feels like she doesn't deserve someone like her.

Suddenly, she stopped when Sojung appeared in front of her. She looked at her intently and she felt the awkward atmosphere because of what she did.

"W-Why?"

She noticed Sojung's eyes. It's red, proof that she cried earlier. Her eyebrows furrowed and think that she's probably dealing with something and she might be in a predicament and needs help.

"Sojung... what's wrong? Is there a problem?"

All of a sudden, Eunbi looked shocked when Sojung went closer to her and kissed her on the lips. She even wrapped her arms with her which made her eyes widened. She suddenly pushed Sojung and gave her a confusing look.

"Y-yah! What's that?" She's still shocked. Can't believe that her closest friend will do that to her. "Are you nuts? Why did you do that?" She looked at her but she noticed the tears in her eyes.

She's been friends with Sojung for a long time but this is the first time she saw the pain in her eyes, the tears, and the rage.

"I... I like you, Eunbi," she confessed with sadness in her eyes. Eunbi's mouth is left hanging and no words escape from her lips. This confession left her whole system in bewilderment. She almost can't move and her eyes are only focused on her.

"Why?" The first word that came out from Eunbi's mouth upon hearing her confession. "Why? Of all people? Why me?"

"My eyes are locked on you when I first saw you, only you. I've loved you for years already. I always want you. I'm dying to have your attention and love but I know that you already have Yewon." She paused for a moment and squinted her eyes to Eunbi. "I endured the pain. I accepted your relationship with Yewon. I kept on supporting you, I sacrificed my own happiness for the sake of your happiness, I hid my feelings for you. But now, I just found out that you like someone else. Do you know how much it hurts?!"

Eunbi is still shocked and stared at her.

"I know that you only see me as your closest friend but what can I do if my heart wants you?! I know that it's impossible for you to like me back that's why I supported you and Yewon." She wiped her tears and went closer to Eunbi.

"I'm mad at Yerin. I always go to your house, peeking at you inside but I noticed how that girl being clingy and sweet to you. One night, I heard you calling her name. I got scared, Eunbi. What if Yerin takes you away? And then it happened. You fell for her, you didn't consider Yewon's feelings. I'm also hurt because I love you!" She keeps on wiping her tears. Eunbi was about to hold her shoulder but she refused. "I hate you!" Eunbi hugged her and felt sorry for her but Sojung pushed her and ran away.

Until now, her confession left Eunbi in a startling state. She never expected this. Perhaps she only lives in this world to hurt someone's feelings and she hates that. She never thought that her closest friend, the person that she treats as her unnie will fall for her.

When she came home, Yerin welcomed her with a hug.

"The food is ready, let's go." Yerin was about to walk to the kitchen but she noticed that Eunbi isn't moving. She looked so anxious and almost drowned in her thoughts.

"Yah, are you okay?"

"Um yeah, I'm just tired." She forced a smile on her.

Yerin leaned closer to her and kissed her on the cheeks. "Aww, my Eunbi is tired. Don't worry, I cooked delicious food for you. Come here," she holds Eunbi's hand and walked her to the kitchen. Eunbi suddenly smiled. Indeed, she's only the person who can make her smile like this. The anxiety she's feeling right now suddenly vanished.

"Unnie, haven't you eaten anything? Here, I got you food."

Sojung placed the food in front of her sister and sat beside her. She noticed that she's still gawking and keep on ignoring her.

"Yah, unnie." She leaned closer to her and faced her. "I don't know if what did I do to make you mad at me but I am just here, okay? I'm sorry if I did something wrong. I'll help you---"

Her sister suddenly pushed her and distanced herself from her. Her eyes are filled with rage. She looked at her with a penetrating look.

"Sojung..."

Their mother came in and her eyes fall for the food. "Sojung, it's okay. I'll take care of her, you can leave now."

"Alright."

Before she leaves the room, she looked at her sister one more time and noticed that her eyes are still the same, it's full of resentment.
