Chapter Eight: Alpine

By the time went by, we got back to the hide out where Cornelia was already waiting for us. I fallen in the back on one of the blankets not willing to stand up anymore. ,, Are you okay Liam?" Cornelia came by worried. ,,Y-Yeah, I just feel a little tired" I replied panting heavily. ,,Did you do anything to him?" She looked at Connor suspiciously. ,, What? No, I would never!-" he responded coming close to her. ,,I-Its really nothing.." I said closing my eyes. ,,Are you cold?" She asked me.  ,,A little-" I started to fall asleep slowly. Connor came to me and grabbing me. ,,Cornelia, can you toss me one of the blankets from back?" He asked.  ,,Yeah sure" She grabbed one of the blankets and tossed them our way. Connor caught it and wrapped it around me hugging me giving me some heat from his body. ,,Better?" He asked. ,,Mhm" I made some noises and nodded my head. ,,Could it be he caught a cold or a flu?" She asked worried. ,,Probably, most likely from the cold water" He answered. Eventually I fell asleep in Connor's arms. I might have slept for about three or four hours. I woke up laying in the back with nobody else in the hide out. It was already evening and getting a little darker. My fever seemed to went away by the time. I sat up and looked around. I couldn't see them anywhere and got a little worried. I waited for them about another half an hour before noticing them slowly coming back. ,,W-Where have you been?" I asked them curiously. ,,Check out if the pack didn't change location " Connor answered my question sitting down next to me. ,,Are you feeling better?" Cornelia asked me worried. ,,Yeah.. I'm better" I replied. ,,You should stay here for a bit until you get even better" He said putting his hand on my forehead. ,,I told you I feel better now-.. " I replied with a little annoyed face. Cornelia looked at both of us and sighed. ,, I must agree with Connor, you need time to heal" she said.  ,,And what about you? Shouldn't you let yourself heal too?" I asked annoyed. ,,I'm feeling better already" she replied. ,,That's what I said too" me looking away from both of them. I wanna be an use to them as well but they're just trying to protect me all the time like some sort of treasure. I sighed and looked down. ,,Fine.. I'll stay here" not willing to , I had to agree with them because I didn't wanted to anger them. ,,Well, if you feel better, if something happens to you we won't help you,, Cornelia opened her mouth quite annoyed. As soon as they turned around there was standing a pack of 3 werewolves in total. One of them turned in a beautiful tall black haired woman with bright red eyes. ,,Alpine..." Connor said. ,,Well, well, well, Look who we've got here, Connor, Cornelia and the little treasure of yours" She said sarcastically. ,,God for real, can we just stop getting attacked?" Connor looked away annoyed. There was a silence between us for about ten seconds. She shook her head  ,,Anyway..." And looked around. ,,I guess you're getting attacked" Her turning into a werewolf jumping at Cornelia who already turned into her werewolf form too. The other one of them that looked like a female jumped at Connor leaving him quickly turning into a werewolf too. The last one turned my way and brightened his eyes seeing me. By a blink of an eye it started running my way leaving me screaming of fear. Connor jumped in front of me hitting down on it's neck leaving on it deep holes. The other werewolf seemed to already have pass laying on the ground. Suddenly there was a huge scream coming from Cornelia's way. They quickly got off each other and looked what happened. Apline was covered full in Cornelia's blood. Both of them quickly ran her way. Alpine backed up for a second and turned back in her human form. Cornelia was bleeding a lot from her chest and stomach. ,,I-I guess this is my time-" Her head slowly turned at them. I was scared for my life. The other werewolf was whining silently. I quickly standed up trying to get to Cornelia but the werewolf growled at me angrily. ,,Bloom.. Come here-" she said and cough up some blood. The werewolf seemed to come closer to her placing its head on her shoulder. Cornelia raised her arms slowly petting its head. Alpine was  trying to catch her breath resting a little. ,, Bloom?-" I asked and looked at the werewolf. Her eyes turned my way right before closing them and turning into a beautiful tall white haired girl with golden eyes. She hugged Cornelia tightly sobbing a little. ,,Cornelia are you okay?-" Connor's eyes brightened with fear. ,,Yeah, I'm just DYING-" Her sweet laugh was followed by a deep coughs of blood. ,,This was such a journey.. Thanks guys-" One last time she smiled at us before closing her eyes. Bloom's eyes seemed to start water up. ,,N-No-" Her voice cracked. There was not even a word that left Cornelia's mouth anymore. Now we were not able to hear her sweet piercing laugh and her annoyed yelling anymore. Bloom gave her a kiss on the forehead leaving a mark of red lipstick on it. Even Connor broke in tears after witnessing that. ,,Shes finally dead-" Suddenly Alpine's voice was heard. Bloom's eyes seemed to light up with anger. ,,I will never forgive you!!!" She yelled and by a blink of an eye she turned in her werewolf form jumping right at her biting deep in her stomach. She successfuly ripped her body to pieces leaving blood everywhere. Bloom was covered in blood as well. She turned back in her human form catching her breath. A couple of tears started to fall out of her eyes. Connor turned in his human form and slowly came to her putting his hand on her shoulder. ,,Do you want to stay with us?" He asked politely but little worried about her response. Bloom was silent for a moment before answering  ,,Fuck Aztec, I'm staying with you" . She looked back at Connor and smiled. They both walked my way down to laying dead Cornelia. I sat beside her examinating her dead body with my eyes filled of fear and sadness. Connor raised her body holding it in his arms. ,,Let's go" he said silently with well hidden sad face. We walked for about five minutes until we got to a place that was unknown to me. The sun was shining through the trees on a place where were a place of white flowers growing from the ground. Connor carefully got between them and placed Cornelia down. The sun was shining brightly at her. He pet her on the head leaving her laying there coming back. ,,May she rest in peace" Bloom silently said looking away. My eyes we're filled up with tears but I tried to keep a tough straight face. We slowly returned to the hide out leaving her there. ,,What was that place?" I asked politely. Connor was silent and so was Bloom. Alpine's death body was still laying there untouched. ,,Let's end this.." Connor said silently. Bloom looked at his confused. ,,Let's kill Aztec-" He opened his mouth again. ,,Around you nuts?! Oh but you really wanna die, we are nothing against Aztec! " She yelled at him worried. ,,There's nothing we can loose now, besides, We're three and he's only one" He said. There was a moment of silence between us until another voice was heard  ,, Oh I think that won't be a need" . I quickly turned around. There was a strangely tall and masculine figure standing by the tree and a smaller female figure. ,,Bloom... How could you betray the pack? After everything I've done for you-" The males voice was heard. Bloom looked away annoyed. They both came closer to us and we could finally see them.
