"A party?" I asked holding up the invitations. Kian nodded happily.
"It's the Fourth of July there has to be a party! The guys decided we should throw it so now I'm stuck giving out invitations. Anyone you want to invite?" He asked giving me a few blank invitations.
I suddenly realized I hadn't seen my two best friends all summer so far.
"Ya I have a few people." I said taking the invitations. I wrote down Cameron, Jeremy, and Eric handing the invitations back to Kian and giving him a kiss on his cheek.
I sighed making my way to my room and rummaging through my closet. I didn't have much red because I never liked the way the color looked on me but I sure had a lot of blue and white, among the many other bright colors I owned.
The next day I went shopping with Kian for the party so he didn't have to go alone. After half an hour of shopping I got bored of walking so I sat in the cart with the rest of the food.
When we finished shopping he dropped me off at my house so I could change and Cameron would pick me up later.
When I got home I went to my room putting on a bathing suit, a pair of jean shorts and a red crop top with a dark blue pocket with stars on it. I put my hair in a side braid and put make up on looking in the mirror and smiling. A few minutes later Cameron arrived with Jeremy in the back. Even though they were no longer dating they were still good friends. I gave her directions to his house seeing the party before we even got there.
"Whoa, this is huge!" Jeremy said sticking his head out the back window like a dog.
Cameron stared amazed. "This place is beautiful!" She said taking it all in. We parked a few houses down since it was so crowded. We got out of the car making our way to the house.
We went around back looking for the guys. Kian was sitting on the roof throwing things at Sam and Jc. Everyone else was taking cover enjoying the show but Sam kept throwing things back at him missing almost every time. Kian grabbed a bottle of soda quickly sticking mentos in it and putting the cap back on. He shook it up throwing it at the ground as hard as he could. Pop exploded everywhere making people scream. It covered all of us making Cameron jump backwards. I laughed look up at Kian. He finally caught my eye waving cheerfully.
"Is that..." Cameron started pointing at Kian who was now throwing cupcakes at the people who scattered.
"Yep." I said laughing a little.
He threw a cupcake at me and I dodged it by an inch.
"You missed!" I yelled up to him sticking my tongue out. He smiled standing up, he made his way back over to the open window and disappeared inside. He showed up next to us a few seconds later putting him arms around my waist and pulling me in closer to place a quick kiss on my lips.
He looked over smiling at Cameron. I looked around realizing Jeremy had disappeared. "Kian this is Cameron." I said motioning towards her.
"Hey," she said shaking his hand "You can call me Cammie."
"Hi Cammie." He said smiling.
We all talked for a while before I decided to go find Jeremy. After looking for a while I gave up not finding him anywhere. I went back outside and we all went out on the boat to the middle of the lake so we could go swimming and just mess around. After swimming for a while we all decided to go back because the sun was going down. When we got back Eric had arrived looking around awkwardly. I walked over to him scrunching up my face playfully. "Oh. It's you." I said hip checking him.
"Hi" he said smacking my arm.
I gave him a look rolling my eyes. Cameron and Kian walked up saying hi. Eric stopped looking up at Cameron. I watched him surprised by his reaction. He watched her not moving his eyes from her face.
"Uh hi I'm Eric." He said holding his hand out for her to shake it. She shook his hand smiling, he smiled back almost in a daze. I elbowed him lightly to focus his attention on anything else. He blinked coming out a daze. He looked from me to Cameron blushing. I laughed shaking my head.
"Well Kian and I are gonna go get some food, be right back!" I said grabbing Kian and pulling him away.
He gave me a look obviously understanding why I had grabbed him.
"He is into her isn't he?" He said looking back.
"I guess so, they just met for the first time though." I said pulling him inside to where the food was. I got a piece of pizza standing in the window stalking Eric and Cameron as they talked.
"Do you realize how insanely creepy you are right now?" Jc asked walking up to me with Kian.
"Shhhh you see nothing." I said looking back out the window. They were still in the same spot so I retired from my hiding spot heading over to hang out with the guys. Everyone around us was dancing but I stood in the corner trying to stay out of sight. Kian came over giving me a devilish grin.
"Noooo." I groaned sitting down on the floor.
"Come on, come dance." He said pulling me up. I sighed moving to the dance floor with him. He started dancing which made me laugh. I started dancing a little too trying not to look stupid. After a while I stopped feeling awkward and we just danced having fun and enjoying the beat.
"Hey! Time for fireworks!!" Someone shouted over the crowd. Excitedly people began to spill out the doors onto the lawn. I started to follow but Kian stopped me.
"I have a better idea." He said taking my hand we ran up stairs the the guest room. The windows screen was laying on the bed and the window was still open.
"Your going to get bats if you leave that open." I said watching him climb through the window.
"Come on!" He said standing up and moving over so I could climb through. Where we were the roof was flat so it wasn't hard to sit down and keep our balance. We sat down over looking the crowd below us. I could see everyone, it was awesome. Kian had a few different types of fireworks with him which I could tell he was eager to light.
The fireworks began and we all watched happily. Kian lit his watching them explode and sparkle. I didn't want to watch the fireworks though, I was to busy watching them sparkle in his eyes and he lit them watching them with so much joy. When his fireworks were gone he pulled my closer to him resting his head on mine. I smiled snuggling closer since the air was slightly chilling on the roof but I didn't care. It was a perfect night.
Kian looked around at the ground raising his eyebrows.
"Wow, Rebeca found someone new." He commented looking near the dock. I looked up confused. No one told me she was here. I followed his eyes balling up my fists. I hated her before, the way she would hang on Kian and drool all over him. She was always in the way stalking all the guys from O2L and I hated her for it. She probably wasn't even officially invited to the party. And now even after everything, I didn't think I could hate her anymore until I saw what she was doing...
She was making out with Jeremy.
